I Can Make You Feel Good: Best of

This is a fantastic soundtrack!! The problem was with delivery. When I received the package it looked ok but before I even opened it I smelled peppermint, which I thought was strange. As I cut open the top, I was disgusted and revolted to see chewed blue chewing gum in the middle of the CD and it was stuck to the inside of the package. It was done by some sick employee on purpose and WAS NOT an accident!!! I immediately returned it and received another CD in 2 days. I would like to also say both CD"s were not wrapped in the cellophane wrap with the sticker like they normally are. The case looked new and the CD played fine. I hope they can track who the employee was who did this. My husband said the employee must not like Shalamar !!!

Shalamar was a great 70's and early 80's band and very soulful and just fun and relaxing to listen to.....I was not familiar with all of these songs but I'm liking them a lot......very nice compilation of songs.

Love this group and the music is fantastic!enjoying the ballads and dancing around the house!!!Recommend this CD.

I've been a fan ever since the late 70's and I just wanted to have a bit of nostalgia with the hits I enjoyed as a kid. I started grinning from ear to ear from the first song "I Can Make You Feel Good" to the last song "Dancing in the Sheets"! Shalamar was my favorite R&B group as a young kid so I had to add this to my collection. My only disappointment is that, in my opinion, there are few great songs that should've been added (e.g., "Somewhere There's a Love", "I Don't Wanna Be the Last to Know", "Games"). However, I'm pleased with it. I'd say it's a great throwback!

I had this CD and somehow lost it so I knew I had to replace it. When I was in the military this group was popular and I listened to them all the time. Still do. Some things get better with age and this CD definitely does.

Excellent sound quality, will take you back to younger days. Loved it so much, bought a copy for the house and one for the car.

'I Can Make You Feel Good' is a good song (it's 'okay' to dance to) and the vocals by the group were good as well; 'A Night To Remember' is a beautiful song to dance to and the vocals were great; it's a great song about being in love with that special someone (perfect 'honeymoon' song); 'Friends' is a good song to dance to, the vocals were also good and I liked the tambourine and drums; 'This Is For The Lover In You' is a lovely song and it's the original version which is a lot better than the updated version singer/songwriter Babyface did years later (I liked the original version better and the vocals were very nice along with the strings and piano); 'Over And Over' is a good song (it's not a good song to dance to) and the synthesizers and drums were good; 'There It Is' is an 'okay' song (again, it's not a good song to dance to); 'Make That Move' is a good song to dance to and the vocals by Jody Watley and Howard Hewitt were also good; 'Dead Giveaway' is another good song to dance to; 'Disappearing Act' is an 'okay' song (not a good song to dance to); 'I Owe You One' is an 'okay' song to dance to (the lyrics are also 'okay'); 'Take That To The Bank' is a good but very fast song to dance to; 'Right In The Socket' is a great song to dance to and singer Jody's vocals were good; 'Sweeter As The Days Go By' is an 'okay' song (not a great song to dance to); 'Uptown Festival' is a good Disco song to dance to featuring a medley of 'Motown' songs from the 1960's; 'The Second Time Around' is a great song to dance to and the vocals by the group were also good; 'Deadline' is an 'okay' song to dance to and the melody sounded like The Pointer Sisters' song 'Neutron Dance'; 'Attention To My Baby' is another 'okay' song to dance to; 'Dancing In The Sheets' is yet another 'okay' song to dance to and the title of the song is 'weird'. The group had some memorable songs and I doubt Jody, Howard and Jeffrey will ever reunite anytime soon!
