Hustler Zero Turn Mower Part# 125255 Hydro Bracket Kit OEM Part

I had a bolt break off last summer, one connected to the left side transmission. That caused enough stress on the old brackets to allow enough bend and it snapped my drive belt. I replaced the bolt and finished the summer. At the end of the season I could see the transmissions were not level again, bowed in, like the mower was too heavy. I had recently read about the replacement of these parts online, and the person I bought the mower from probably didn't know about the free replacement Hustler would have done at the time. That replacement program had an end date, and shouldn't have. Now it's up to the consumer to fix their own faulty product.This kit was a direct replacement. It was very difficult to perform the parts swaps. It seems every bolt and nut you need to get to is in an impossible location, and hitting other brackets, frames, engine parts, etc. It seems the manufacturer must have installed everything upside down, then flipped the entire mower right side up and put the engine on. The engineering of the location of all these bolts is amazing, and rather quite dumb. I had to ask a friend for help. Every nut/bolt was in a very difficult place to get to. I'm glad I had a ratcheting wrench or we would have been stuck very early in the project as there is simply no room for tool leverage. I could go on, and there was a lot of cursing and banging.Getting the tires off was easy enough, getting the frame lifted, then trying to support both transmissions was difficult and required some custom wood cutting/assembly. We replaced part by part, putting the new one on before moving onto the next part, leaving all bolts loose until all parts were replaced. The last thing we did was drill and insert that new 3rd hole in the side brackets. That was the easiest part of the job.I only mention all of this hassle to warn users that this is not a simple unbolt/replace, move to the next part. It is extremely difficult getting to the nuts/bolts. This kit is awesome. It is not easy to install, but that's not a fault of the kit. Very nice powder coat finish, came with 1 extra bolt/nut of each length. Bolts/nuts were all high class of steel, not cheap foreign made parts that would snap a head off. You do need to use the new bolts/nuts provided. Braces were much thicker than the old, I have a renewed faith in the whole mower now and it's ability to handle my rough terrain. It took about 8 hours total, with help from a friend. It is cheaper to get this kit on Amazon than having a dealer sell it to you. But unless you're up for the extreme challenge, I would pay a local dealer/repair facility to replace the parts for you. I'm pretty handy with tools and machinery, and even I thought this was very difficult. If I had a friend come ask me for help, I would. But I would really try and convince them to pay a dealer to do it.Also, get the other optional bracket these guys sell, the black one that goes between the 2 transmissions. I didn't think I needed it but turns out mine was broken in 2 places. Do both kits at the same time. Otherwise you're right back to loosening all the same nuts/bolts up so you can get the new part on.

This is the third time that I have had to replace the rear pump bracket on my Hustler and I've always complained that I had to buy a kit with all the pump brackets, and hardware, for the pump. But the transmission bracket in this kit is twice the thickness of the original and has three bolts to the frame instead of two. I'm hoping this stronger bracket will help keep the rear bracket from failing this time. The new mounting hardware appears to be higher grade also. That being said, this kit includes everything you need to change all the brackets on both pumps. It also includes a complete set of drawings and instructions. Oh, two day delivery was great too! I'm very happy with this pump bracket kit and recommend it, just hope it's the last one I need to buy.

Exactly what we needed to brace the lawn mower. Worked as described and needed.

Good quality and precision made, all parts were exact replacements. Included hardware made the job much easier! Could have used a little a little more detailed instructions. Yet overall a very good value.

Bracket kit arrived without the hardware. Sent the seller a message and they sent the hardware. Once I had the hardware it was easy to install. Hustler has added an additional bolt to the middle bracket so you will need a good 7/16” bit and a drill to drill the new hole on each side of your mower. Other than that everything bolted up with no issues. The middle brackets are very much improved from the original ones that were on my Hustler Raptor SD 54.

The "L" shaped bracket in the middle is way thicker than the original. I suspect that bracket bends and creates more stress on the front and back brackets, causing them to break! Since my mower is almost 5 years old, I didn't bother to try for a warranty repair. Not happy that a replacement belt has a chunk missing from hitting the fan before I made this repair. So far so good.

I didn't realize it until I was doing the work. They all fit as expected and notice the difference in thickness, my broken ones are definitely thinner.
