This item does fit the proper threading, but the flare on the bottom of the antennae mast is not large enough. OEM is ~13/16" at the bottom of the flare to meet the mount. This one is maybe 1/2" at the base of the flare. So yes, it'll thread in. If you want OEM fitment for part#6829736AA, this isn't it.

Didn't fit the truck I bought it for but oddly enough it fit another one of my trucks just perfect even though they don't have that model of truck listed, Go figure?

Had been avoiding having it changed thinking it was a meticulous task but regret not doing sooner. Literally screw off old one and screw on new one, perfect fit.
