Amythyst Two Tone (Silver and Yellow Gold Color) Stainless Steel Virgin Mary Pendant (Miraculous Medal)

Absolutely gorgeous!The layout is exactly the image described by Saint Catherine Labouré following one of the visitations of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The laser cut may be less detailed than the common stamped designs, but it contains all of the Latin text, and the only missing detail is the crown of thorns on the right heart, the Sacred Heart of Jesus. However, this doesn't change the validity of the medal in any way, and any Catholic priest can bless this for you.The stainless steel, which meets surgical stainless steel guidelines, is substantially heavier than my last 2 miraculous medals. My first, which was given to me during my stroke recovery, was stamped tin, chrome plated. I wore it constantly, even in sleep, only taking it off for MRIs as the chain is a heavy duty stainless steel, but my acidic skin ate the rear off of the medal over the course of several years. When I chose to change it, the next was a gold-plated light medal, and didn't erode, but recently and mysteriously disappeared. I have no clue where it went, just dropped off somewhere, and I have felt naked without it.I've been told that, like the scapular, that when replacing the medal it is unnecessary to have the replacement blessed, but I still intend to have our parish priest do a follow-up blessing just in case! I am a walking result of a miracle: following a major heart surgery to install an artificial mitral valve, I had a full left hemisphere ischemic stroke due to a self-caused error with my blood thinners. I may not be 100% recovered, but I went from expected death, to massive brain damage, to walking under my own power out of the hospital a week later. I had to relearn English (or reconnect the part of the brain where it was) and other skills, but I am alive with my wife and children, and able to be part of their lives!I can only wear stainless steel or gold as my skin eats nickel, silver, tin, and other materials, and even manages to dig in behind plating materials very frequently. My hope is that this medal lasts until my death, in 40 or 50 years!
