strong stuff
Having fought for years with unwanted weeds and grass in a large gravel area at the barn and behind the house I tried this mixed with Roundup for existing weeds. That was over a month ago and not a weed or blade of grass to be found! As with any herbicide it works best when coordinated with a rain, in this case rain is needed within 24 hours. I'm well satisfied, but be careful, this stuff can leach into neighboring areas. I have learned (the hard way) to stay a foot away from any grass edges to avoid killing areas you don't want to kill!

The Pramitol herbicide provided excellent service in irradiating my Tubbleweed problem here in northern New Mexico. This weed is tenacious and is almost impossible to kill, short of a brush fire. Very pleased with the Pramitol.

Works great. Here are some desert tips.
Application is better if done perhaps just before the ground freezes. If you are in the desert, application timing is a little more critical. Get it down before your last winter snow. In our area east of Reno, I would guess the first day in January when the ground is clear of snow and temps get to the 40s...if you are so lucky. The stuff works great. We used a 10/1 dilution, and added dye so that I can tell where I have sprayed it. I used the normal dye amuont and it was hard to distinguish, so I will use 2 measures of dye per 10 gallons next time. I sprayed over unused sandy space and over my septic, which normally grows a garden of sagebrush 6 feet tall. Last season, with this stuff, only a few plants emerged. It dropped weed problem by 90%. Also note though we had extraordinary rain this season after application, so it might have washed some of it away. Don't spray anywhere under desirable trees. I didn't buy enough last time...it was a test. Some folks add a little fertilizer, believe it or not, to trick the plants into sucking the stuff up. This stuff really works...save your (dilute) 2-4,D for killing off dandelions in your lawn.

The ease of having this product delivered.
Living in a small town and being able to purchase this item on Amazon is so convenient! Being able to control the weeds around our home from being out of control is the best. Also, spraying those areas that aren’t used for growing and having the peace of mind that they won’t become a fire hazard… priceless.

... it to the max but it didn't do a great job on the kill side of it
mixed it to the max but it didn't do a great job on the kill side of it. I hope it keeps the seeds from growing. It was in the mid 70's when I used it so it should have been fine. Went through the hole bottle in a few days and its been on for a few weeks. Looks like i'm going to go back over with Roundup.

Creates A Perfect Moonscape!
I mixed this at the recommended rate (1 gal Pramitol to 25 gal water) and added the appropriate amount of Round-up. Using a gasoline powered pump and an 18 foot wide spray bar behind my tractor I sprayed the entire amount over 300 yards of 7 yard wide gravel road (0.413 acres). Fortunately it rained about 36 hours later to make the mix wash down into the soil (the Roundup only needed to be on the foliage for 12 hours). The foliage was a mix of grasses, thistle, broad leaf weeds and year old grouse whortleberry bushes. Results were apparent in 3 days with complete kill in 12 days. It has been 2 months and my gravel road looks like a moonscape - devoid of all vegetative growth.Next year if I need to reapply the Pramitol I will use 25 gallons again but spray as much as 725 yards of the gravel road. I suspect that even at the rate of 25 gallons over an area of 7 yards by 725 yards (1 acre) I will see long lasting complete vegetative kill.By the way, 1000 square feet equals 0.022957 acres.

Doing the job.
Update....Took over 3 weeks to see results or weeds and grass starting to die. But looks like it's working. I will have to see how long it works, and see what comes up next spring. Neighbors say that next spring will be less weeds.First Review.....Still waiting for weeds to die weeks later. Sprayed them twice, and I am sure with rain and the water I used, it had plenty of water to saturate the ground. New growth has stopped? I bought a bag of granules also and spread them. Used both on about 5-600 square ft. Not impressive at all.

This works great.
We bought a house that was vacant for 3 years and the weeds were ridiculously established. No amount of glycophosphate worked - it killed was was visible then within a couple weeks they were back. Add the monsoons we get out here and weeds always came back in with a vengeance in a week or less. One treatment of Pramitol and they've been almost completely gone for almost 2 months now, and that's even with with monsoon rains (they'd be completely gone but I missed some spots when I was spraying.Highly recommended. Smells like diesel fuel and is flammable, and is dangerous to animals while wet, so be careful with the stuff but for long term nuking of an area this stuff is gold. It takes a little longer to kill visible foliage than Roundup and other glycophosphate, but keeps them from coming back much longer, and you can mix it with Roundup (I use Drexel Imitator instead of Roundup because it's better and cheaper per treatment) for quick kill and long term sterilization all in one treatment.
