A must read for anyone that wants to live a health lifestyle.
I have known George Boley for over 20 years and have had the great pleasure of having him as a student. George is an extremely dedicated martial artists and personal trainer. He is one of the most physically fit people I know.Being over 60 years old and not being able to do many of the exercises I used to do when I was younger due to several injuries, I especially found this book beneficial for my own training regimen. I have been teaching martial arts for over 40 years and undergraduate college courses for 15 years. I found this book to be very well written, the topics were covered in great detail, and Boley shared his personal insights into healthy living.The chapters went into easy to understand concepts of each topic and the photographs made it easy to follow along. I especially liked how Boley clarified many of the misconceptions that people have about personal training, which can result in unnecessary injuries.I would recommend this book to both beginners and black belt practitioners alike. Boley has done a fantastic job in explaining how stretching, strength training, good eating, and living a healthy lifestyle will add years to your quality of life.

good work out ideas
I found this book easy to read and understand. It was not geared to just the athlete but would be useful for all people wanting to improve their physical fitness. Included are ways to utilize your own body weight in training. Also included are chapters for resistance training geared to women and preteens/teens. These are 2 areas not usually addressed. There are a variety of exercises and work out ideas one can utilize in their training. He gives ideas to make things fun and give variety to the work out. He also includes motivation and encouragement in the work out ideas.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
