I seldom write a review however this one was easy to do. I normally reuse the o rings when changing out a filter in the big blue housing every 6 months. Last time I noticed the o ring was starting to get stretched out and didn’t fit perfectly I went ahead and installed it nonetheless hopefully it wouldn’t leak and it didn’t. Recently when it came time to change the filter again I ordered these new o rings hoping for a good fit. I was pleasantly surprised these o rings fit perfectly in the housing and made the reinstall very easy and confident it wouldn’t leak. I was too cheap to buy new o rings previously however they cost was worth it with an easier replacement and removed the concern of a leak.

Good fit as a replacement.

Worked fine on my Pentek Big Blue filters. They are a bit thin, but do the job. I had a slight leak (only a drip) on one of the filters after installation, but that stopped after less than 24 hours as the o ring swelled a bit. Just a note that these o rings will swell after use. They will not fit back in the groove because the circumference increases and they will not lay flat in the groove. Always have new o rings on hand when you change your filter or it will be a frustrating experience.

A family member uses well water, and we use a Cascadian branded large filter system to remove the fine silt and minerals. They fit PERFECTLY in the filter cover (or housing) and have NEVER had a leak using these.

My honest review. I purchased this o rings because they were recommended by the advertising. I was looking for a filter and when I look at the filter this rings were next to the filter saying people buy this and this together. But it turns out that they are totally different sizes so they are useless to me.That doesn’t mean they are bad. Their quality looks good but if they are next to the filter they should fit that specific filter you are looking at. And also describe if they fit that filter.
