Exactly the console cable I needed!
I'm refurbishing several older Cisco switches, and the only console cables I had were serial to RJ45. I don't think I've had a laptop, or PC, with a serail port in 10 years. This cable works perfectly! No drivers necessary for Win11 and PuTTY picked it up immediately. All I had to do is change from COM1 to COM3 and it negotiates with the switches with zero issues. An added bonus is the 10' length. That means I can push back from the racks a bit with my cart.

Great console cable - works with Jupiter SRX-300 firewall
Got this to use with a Jupiter SRX-300 firewall and it works great. The flat cable makes it easy to make sure the cable is not getting too twisted up and 10ft is plenty long to reach from the rack to a laptop.

Life Saver
This thing has saved my butt so many times, I'm back to buy a second so I have an extra! Never had a problem, and always ends up being used in particularly hairy situations where I don't have time to troubleshoot a cable.

Broken in 5 Months, still recieved a refund!
The cable doesn't register connected after a few months and ~100 uses. Lightly used, kept cable clean, and stored very well. The device has trouble registering when connecting to my MacBook Pro 14. I cannot recommend it and must look for a better alternative. Edit: support reached out quickly after this review and fully refunded my 5 month old purchase. Very happy with thier support.

Works the Treat!
Mac to Cisco console port - works the treat. No adapters necessary now that it has USB C, and the UART controller built into the cable. No drivers, either. Just need the following commands to run through Terminal on your Mac: Step 3 Enter the following commands to find the OS X USB port number: macbook:user$ cd /dev macbook:user$ ls -ltr /dev/*usb* crw-rw-rw- 1 root wheel 9, 66 Apr 1 16:46 tty.nameofusbconnection Connect to the USB port with the following command followed by the router USB port speed: macbook:user$ screen /dev/tty.nameofusbconnection 9600 To Disconnect the OS X USB Console from the Terminal Window Enter Ctrl+A followed by Ctrl+\ Et Voila!

Instant Satisfaction.
We had an install today so this arrived right on time. There's a leaflet that has instructions for drivers, but I had no issue with plug-and-play on with my MacBook Pro. Just plug it in, pull up putty or Cisco CLI Analyzer, pick your serial connection, and BAM. You're configuring a switch. It's long enough that I could wrap it around the outside of the stack and still have enough length to sit comfortably in the IT chair of choice: the floor, about 36U away from my hardware.

This is a great console cable!
Was looking for my M1 MacBook Pro and this one worked well and it also worked with my old Intel MacBook pro. The latter was really great so I no longer had to carry the old style console cable with a USB-C to USB1.1/2. Used this on Ventura (M1) and Mojave (Intel). For the price I was thinking it might not work and needed the more expensive console ports. Winner for your console networking guys!

Wonderful product
This product made my life easy as a data center engineer. It works like a charm for all my devices in the DC without any need to install drivers, just plug to the charging slot of Laptop and play.
