Anwenk Heavy Duty Nutcracker Pecan Walnut Plier Opener Tool with Wood Handle

This little guy is amazing! Pecans are a snap to crack open. 95%+ of the time, they crack in such a way that I can peel them open without hurting my nails, or the yummy nut inside. It works equally well on walnuts as well as hazelnuts. I had to use my old nutcracker on the almonds, but that makes perfect sense, given that this amazing nutcracker is cylindrical in shape; almonds just don’t lend themselves well to this awesome nutcracker. It’s quite sturdy, too. Definitely recommended. UPDATE: Works on almonds well, too! I just needed time to figure it out. :) This is such a great tool. It gets at the yummy nuts without destroying them in the process.

I was looking for a nutcracker my mother could use with arthritis. This one is still a bit tough in terms of pressure needed but infinitely more usable and the pieces don't go everywhere when you pop the shell. I personally love it. I had never seen this shape before in nut crackers and took a gamble and won by purchasing it. It's sturdy too. So sturdy, I think I can hand it down in my will. :)

This nutcracker has a very nice handle. I've been using it for over a month now and haven't hurt my hand even once. The wood hasn't chipped or broken and seems to be going strong. The paint on the handle is a little washed out in some parts, but that's not important to me. The nutcracker does the job well enough for large nuts. Very little effort or force of strength required. It cracks the nut meat itself if you aren't careful, but you can easily learn how to avoid this to get the "perfect" nut by positioning the nut just so and learning when to stop squeezing. I knocked off a star because smaller nuts, like almonds, just fall in and sit in the bottom. You can sort of get this to chip at the smaller nuts if you hold the nut itself while it's in the nutcracker, but it won't actually open the whole thing. The nutcracker won't pinch your fingers while you do that though, so that's a relief. I did try to use the nutcracker on a bottle cap out of curiosity. I didn't expect it to work on that, but it opened the bottle up easy peasy! Neat little bonus. All in all a very good nutcracker. This is very sturdy. I don't see this thing breaking any time soon, but I would reorder it if I did lose it or something.

I was looking for a sturdy nutcracker that wouldn't bend or break with the first walnut, and this one definitely delivers. Build Quality: It feels very solid ("Heavy Duty" is the perfect description) and doesn't flex at all under pressure Ergonomics: The non-slip handles provide a great grip, making it easy to use without needing a lot of hand strength Design: Thanks to the two different sized openings, it handles everything from large walnuts to smaller hazelnuts perfectly without them slipping out (you can see this in my video) The leverage is so good that you don't need much force. It’s also quite stylish for a kitchen tool!

I was gonna get a regular old skool nut cracker, but this seemed easier and I was wrong. Looks very nice and well made. It's not too heavy but heavy enough to crack nuts. The issue i have is I'm doing walnuts and it just barely cracks them and slips up and out when trying to crack. It doesn't crack completely unless you crack it then crack it a second time and then at the point the nuts in a billion pieces. So overall walnuts not recommended for. I only had a bag of walnuts so I've tried nothing else in it. But I'm not a fan. So I would say value is not that great with the functionality being low.

When I first received this nutcracker, I looked at it and thought there was no way it was going to crack the pecans I had. Not because my pecans are small—it’s just that this nutcracker looks huge. I liked the wooden handle and the substantial look of the cracking portion, and it has a good weight to it, but I honestly didn’t think it would work as well as it does. I was wrong. I put a pecan in and it cracked it perfectly, right down to the actual nut. I was really impressed because I expected to have to do a lot more work, like with pistachios or other nuts that take more effort to shell. This cracked it cleanly and easily, and I could see the whole piece of pecan inside. I highly recommend this nutcracker. It looks great, has a solid weight, and works perfectly for my needs.

I bought this nut cracker because with my old nut cracker it was not good when trying to break the Almonds. This one is great no problems with cracking the shells on the Almonds. What I also found with this nut cracker is you get a lot less of the shells shooting out everywhere.
