Mother Earth Products Freeze Dried Blackberries, Quart Jar, Net Wt 4oz (113g)

Very disappointed. There was an unusually large amount of seeds & what I call freeze dried dust compared to whole blackberries.This isn’t the first brand of freeze dried blackberries I’ve purchased as I use these to replicate the Starbucks Violet Drink. Having a bunch of seeds & freeze dried dust doesn’t make for a good drink. Some is okay, but when it’s nearly all seeds & dust, it really ruins the drink.

Though it's OK, taste is fine, I won't buy again - too much powder at the bottom (guess that could be expected with a dried fruit). My main problems is that each bottle (I bought blackberries, strawberries & raspberries), is not sealed well. The top just screws on, there is no seal around it that you have to break. Inside there is a "safety seal" which is around the top of the jar (under the jar lid), on one bottle it was partially unsealed, not sure if someone opened it to taste & returned the jar, or if it was just not sealed properly. Whatever, I won't buy again unless they come up with a better method of sealing the jars.

I work in the backcountry of Montana and coordinate meal planning for camping groups. We like to provide high-quality meals (working hard on trails and camping), but must balance the limited weight and space for packing on horses and mules. We tried several brands this summer for dehydrated and freeze-dried food. This brand was one of the best we tried and seemed slightly more economically priced. All staff seemed to prefer the freeze-dried versions versus dehydrated food: the taste and nutrients were better for freeze-dried. Sometimes dehydrated food can lose flavor and have chewy consistency even when re-hydrated. The blackberries were sweet, delicious and perfect for oatmeal, pancakes and desserts!

Taste going great snack but they give more in seeds than berries

OK product but not going to buy it again. The price was a bit high, was expecting a bigger container. Also the seeds are a major pain to deal with, with the drying process they become even more pronounced and brittle and really get caught in your teeth. I'd strongly suggest anyone avoid eating these if you don't have dental floss around.Probably a good item for long term storage or camping, etc, but not something I'd suggest for regular daily use. They tasted fine, but between the cost and the seeds getting stuck in my teeth I doubt I will buy this item again. I'm sure their other products are good, this might just be an issue specific to blackberries.

The container wasn’t sealed properly, & the berries were soft right when I opened them. I bought raspberries from the same brand which had the seal intact, & they were fine.

I think this was as good as can be expected. I bought them for t he berry drink from starbucks I wanted to make at home. I read other reviews and this seemed like it was the best value for dollar amount. There was zero dust in the bottom. Other posted that there was. Not in mine.

I wanted to try these to see how they were. These are really good as is and worked great in a cobbler. Just simmer with same amount of water and some sugar to make cobbler.
