Great lightweight tripod.
I was looking for a small, lightweight tripod to carry in a backpack while hiking. I wanted this tripod to support a small 50 mm spotting scope for birding and wildlife viewing in general. This Zomie Q111 tripod will work great for me.First impression when picking up the box out of the mailbox was “WOW, this is light”! Opening revealed a carry case containing the tripod and a cell phone adapter. The cellphone adapter fits my phone with a thick case. Everything was in working order. The clips for locking the legs are much better than the twist style. There is no slippage of the legs even with excessive downward force. The quick release plate is easy to use and secure enough to stay locked. It is spring activated and would be difficult to unlock by accident. The pan and tilt head is smooth enough to track a birds flight without too much fumbling. One half turn of the handle and locking knob is all it takes to release tension.I was surprised at how stable the tripod is, even when fully extended. There is very little play in the legs. The three outer legs are attached to the main post with center braces and there is a locking mechanism by the center braces to keep the legs expanded. This adds to stability. The main post, when fully raised added a little bit of wobble, which is not problem for me. Every tripod I have ever used has had this issue. I usually sit when I am viewing so I won’t have to extend the main post at all and the legs only part way. This adds to the stability. I also have an angled spotting scope, so that reduces the height requirement as well. The weight hook is a nice addition even though I doubt I will have a need for it except to maybe keep my backpack off the ground while in the woods.A lot of the other reviews are correct in stating there is a lot of plastic. And the crank handle to raise and lower the main post does seem like a weak point. At this price point this should not be a surprise considering the high end tripods retail for much much more. However, the plastic does seem to be robust and the crank is unnecessary as the main post can be raised and lowered just by grabbing it by hand. If you have a heavy camera or scope you should be supporting the raising and lowering by hand anyways. I suspect I will get many years of use out of this tripod provided I use a little care and don’t force things. And if I don’t, for what this cost replacing it is not a big deal. While, this tripod might be a little too lightweight for heavy spotting scopes and big unbalanced zoom camera lenses, I would recommend it for most uses. The compact size and light weight are excellent for backpacking and storage in general while providing a surprising amount of stability and ease of use.

Portable and lightweight made for my camera
Love the quality of this tripod that is specifically made to work with the brands listed in the description. I personally own a Nikon DSLR so that is the camera I am using this tripod for. I have had a small tripod for quite some time but always wanted to have a large tripod that I can use to take better shots when sight-seeing or taking pictures of larger groups of people and I have found it with this high quality tripod. It is made of aluminum allow and only weighs about 2 ¾ lbs and comes with a nylon zipper carrying case that you can throw over your shoulder with your camera bag and won’t leave you with a backache even after a long day of location changes. It features a 3 way swivel head with an easy clamp to be able to dismount and mount your camera quickly without scratching or risking dropping your camera. I ordered mine in black but they do have other colors available. The height of the legs are adjustable and the ends of each leg have rubber bottoms so you do not have to worry if you have hardwood or ceramic tile floors that you are going to damage the floor plus it helps keep the legs firmly in place.

You Get What You Pay For
This tripod is definitely exactly what it looks like on it's page; it's a baseline tripod that is pretty versatile. I haven't yet been able to take it out and do anything crazy with this, but I don't think I'd have any issues. It feels very sturdy when standing, and the legs don't feel frail in any sense of the word. However, I do have a few negatives that you may want to keep in mind for this tripod. The hook on the bottom meant to allow you to weight it down isn't very good at all. It's a solid plastic piece, and doesn't feel like it'll break under pressure, but it's shape makes it hard to use because the hook itself is very thick and isn't very big; this makes it rather difficult to weight it down with any bag that has a strap wider than two inches or so. Don't get me wrong it can be done, but I personally don't like it. Another problem I have with it is the plate that your camera is mounted to can go vertical, but it has a hard time going from the vertical position to the perfectly horizontal position. This leads to problems if you're quickly trying to transition between vertical and horizontal, and often leads to maligning the shots so they're not perfectly level. I feel this issue would be fixed if the bubble level were placed on the mounting plate rather than the base, but it is what you pay for. Overall, I think this is a good cheap tripod, but I have nothing to compare it to. Just know that if you have the money to buy a better tripod and you're more serious about photography you should buy a much better tripod. On a side note, if you plan to use this for videos, don't plan on using the pan. It is much smoother than what you could achieve with a ball head tripod, but it's definitely not as fluid as you may think. I believe this is due to the fact that they're using a rather weird was to smooth out the panning, and I think it's just friction. I'm not planning on taking it apart, but I'm positive it's not a quality mechanism based on the rest of the build.

Sturdy and easily assembled.
I was needing a good sturdy tripod for my portable projector. This fits that bill. It also have blue or red legs, which makes it more visible in the dark, when we have movie night. No more looking for something to level out the projector, my little tripod does the job awesomely. It folds up to about 13 inches long,, and weighs a wapping 2 1/2 lbs. Take it anywhere! Very portable.

Perfect Economic Tripod
Being a real estate photographer, this tripod comes really handy. For the price, it is very sturdy and has way better stability than others around. This is my second set and only because I accidentally lost the small screw that holds the head. This has been improved a lot in this version of the tripod (mine was a previous version).

Decent tripod
Decent tripod does the job for smaller cameras. Only complaint is the legs aren't overly stable when fully extended
