Sturdy - Works GREAT!
I was a little leary ordering this because of the product description...not very detailed...but it works just like it's suppose to and it's alot sturdier than I thought it would be (for the price I paid). Has everything I needed for the job I had to do. Thanks Amazon for giving me a choice in the products and prices.

Great kit, comes with everything I would expect it to come with. The parts were well oiled when they arrived so I had to spend some time cleaning them but other wise this thing works great. The smaller gear puller ended up being a little bigger than I expected so make sure to take measurements and make sure this thing is gonna work for you before you buy it.

Decent quality kit
Pretty decent little set- didn't quite work for the project I originally bought these for -- the bearing I needed to pull off a shaft was stuck just to dang tight for this puller to handle- not the pullers fault- I think it lived up to its rated capacity- I just needed more. But for the price it is a decent quality kit- and Ill use whats left of it (that I didn't break yet lol) in the future im sure

Does the job.
Use the tool with some common sense.. heat and penetrating oil are your best friend in the pulling stuff off.. if you can't use heat or lube get yourself a press. The splitters themselves are solid. I could see if you push the threads of the connecting shafts they would be the first to give.. the splitters are worth the $$. Rebuilt a 5 speed with this and will do many more.

Great puller if you do a few things first
The first thing i did with this puller kit is run a bottom tap on the extensions and bearing separators, and a a die on all the threaded shafts. The next thing i did was replace the bearing separated nuts with some from ace hardware that are steel and Rockwell rated. I then coated everything with silicone lubricate. I have now pulled bearings off dc mothers, axle shafts, CV joints. I have used it about twenty times in a short period of time without any problems or failures. I think i save a lot of money overall by doing these few things.

Great puller for the price, case a little flimsy but tool is well made.

very strong puller, I covered the end of a snowmobile crankshaft with two pieces of 3/16 plate and tightened the puller so tight I nearly punched a hole through the plates with the puller bolt! Tight as I could tighten with an end wrench and then had to heat the bearing and use an impact wrench on the puller to get the bearing removed. Very Impressed with the abuse I gave this puller!

A good puller for the price!
Replace all the nuts with a good grade. Like all pullers, lubricate all the threads when used. Based on the cheap steel used on the nuts I was concerned that the rods would bend while pulling bearings with an impact. It worked good for removal of carrier bearings and the pinion bearing. The rods did not bend.
