INSANELY GOOD
I have had this reel for about a month now and I can honestly say this is one of the best reels I have ever had. Drag is insanely smooth and line flies off the spool so easily when you cast. I mainly fish for snook and redfish (inshore) so the 4000 size was perfect. Tight Lines and highly recommend!

Great bass reel
So far so good!! This is my new favorite reel!! I am just an average angler who loves the largemouth and so far I have been slamming them with this reel!!

Tough and Light
This reel can turn bull redfish and juvenile tarpon without flexing or any distortion. Pleasantly surprised by the strength to weight ratio. You can work inshore and make a hundred plus casts in a day and not feel like your arm is going to fall off. Good piece of gear. Easy to clean and maintain. Highly recommend.

Very Smooth
I love the way that this reels in. Everything seems smooth and comfortable. I can't tell you much moor then that because I have not fished with it yet other than I picked it up from Amazon for around $90 cheaper than Cabela's.

Smooth
I bought this after buying the 2500D-XH size and I just spooled it with 20lb J-braid and paired it with a 7' Fenwick HMG Inshore MH Rod. I plan on using 1/2oz + jig heads and swim baits for striped bass.Even though it's a 4000 sized reel it's a compact 4000 (sized as a 3000 but 4000 spool) so there isn't a huge size difference between the 4000 (grey braid) and 2500 (blue braid)

Let The Buyer Beware
This is easily the worst spinning reel I have ever owned. I ordered three in different sizes and all had the same defective drag. It would slip and when it finally tightened would slip again, even lying in the trunk of the car. I returned the first two and would have done the same with the third one had the original box and documentation not gotten accidentally thrown away when I moved to a different residence. This is definitely not what I have come to expect with a company like Shimano. My $35 Sougayilang reel is certainly a better reel and more dependable. I would not recommend this reel under any circumstances.
