Simply beautiful and sturdy.
I couldn't hold off writing a review any longer. I had hoped to post a few pictures, but will edit my review in the coming weeks after my clematis plants have hopefully taken over. This trellis is HUGE and AMAZING! I read, and re-read the measurements, studied the picture. Asked a question ( and got a super fast response from H. Potter--thanks! ) about the size pot needed and felt confident in my purchase. Wow! Just wow! I went with a 24" square faux black stucco planter found elsewhere on Amazon's site. The trellis fit perfectly and securely in that planter. As others have written, the instructions are lacking and written in extremely poor English. Look at the pictures, then disregard them. I found that if you lay out all the parts and line up the offset holes accordingly, the trellis goes together really easily. The large bolts attach the decorative pieces to the inner pole, and the small bolts hold the upper and lower sections together. Small bolts also secure the base spikes/stakes to the assembly. Mine is almost perfectly square and looks great from all angles.Highly recommend a 10mm wrench and a 10mm socket set to tighten all bolts after a semi-loose thumb-tightened assembly. The color is nicer than I expected though I must admit, I had already purchased hammered spray paint but will use it elsewhere.I can't say enough good things about this trellis and hope to purchase the lotus one next. Well worth the investment for a beautiful, functional piece of art!Edit: 4/24/17 -- Looks even better this year! Added pic. 5/7 -- one more pic.

Big sturdy trellis!
This trellis took a bit to assemble correctly. I initially had the bottom center support flipped and although the piece looks like it will work in either orientation, all the holes only line up in one direction. It’s not a big deal but it is large and unwieldy item and it would be nice if that piece were labeled. Also, although the bolts for the side pieces are clearly different lengths from the center post bolts they are scant 1mm smaller in diameter so I kept grabbing the wrong nuts. The nuts will just thread on enough to grab but obviously not tighten. Just a heads up for anyone starting assembly. I assembled this trellis solo though and it was not difficult, just a bit awkward. Other than those issues this is a really nice obelisk. It is LARGE. I knew the dimensions before purchasing it but does definitely make a statement in person. You are going to need a big pot if you don’t plan on anchoring it to the ground. I have a 31 inch pot I’m using and it still could be bigger to accommodate the curve of the base. It’s a pretty heavy piece so the weight of a large pot is needed as well. I’m looking forward to growing my clematis on this lovely trellis and I’ll enjoy looking at it when it is bare in the winter.

Very sturdy
Love the ease of assembly and that these are well made. The stakes included are long and strong enough that the trellis doesn't move even in 40+ mph winds. We are on the top of a hill so wind is a big issue for my gardens. The coating on the trellis had no gaps or blemishes and it has a bit of a hammered finish - didn't expect that but it looks great. Can't wait to see wisteria blooming on it next spring. Already thinking about buying a other one.

Happy gardening!
I really think this lends such a sophisticated flair to the yard. That being said, I am writing the review for the benefit of future purchasers. The directions are very inexact. The complaint that the holes do not line up I suspect is because you have to figure out on your own which pieces match up to which sides. After putting portions of it together at least twice, we finally figured it out. We also realized the bolts need to thread through 2 sides. This may not make any sense here but I hope if you purchase this obelisk (and I do think it is well made, worth the price and handsome) be patient, match up the parts and have 2 people for the assembly! Happy gardening!

Sturdy & beautiful
Just put these together this weekend. I was surprised at how big they were! They are a light brown color with black splash paint over the top. The metal is heavy and sturdy. I was going to put them in pots in the front of the house, but my pots aren’t big enough. So, I took them out to the garden where they will be perfect for beans or any other climbing vegetable. Or, I may use them for clematis or honeysuckle in my pollinator garden. I’m 5’3” and these are taller than me and about 40” in diameter. They are heavy!

Sturdy but misaligned
This trellis is VERY sturdy and I love the design, but, it was difficult to put together because the holes didn’t match up even after I tried several positions in case I was not placing them correctly. Because of this, the top portion had a large gap in connection with the bottom. I thought about returning it but it is so heavy and bulky that I just made it doable. The instructions could have been written much better as well.I wish there was an option to purchase this design in a smaller version so it could fit inside of the Harry Potter flower pot that the company makes, but the trellis would be about 5 inches too large to fit.I purchased another shape of the Harry Potter trellis, but I haven’t put it together yet. I hope I don’t have the same issues of misalignment.

Very sturdy, beautiful trellis
I was pleasantly surprise by the heavy weight of this trellis. It was simple to assemble, but I needed help to carry it into place in the garden. I love the extra long spikes that anchor it to the ground. I have no worries that wind will ever knock it over, even now that it is completely covered by a huge clematis.

Do not place outdoors it's very poor quality. There is rust all over the place
Do not place outdoors it's very poor quality. There is rust all over the place! For the price I thought at least a year it would last. Awful!
