Sensational Desk Is A Real Value
It seems a home office is popping up all over the house these days, I'm thinking of installing a time clock and having guests punch in and out. However, I have no intention of issuing them a paycheck. My better half decided there should be a small desk in a guest room which has been converted into a quasi office. So off to Amazon expecting to mull over countless desks and begin the odd ritual of adding to the cart, removing from cart and repeat until ready to hang myself.A few months ago my better half decided there should be a small office in the kitchen. After looking all over the place I purchased the Walker Edison three piece glass desk. It's an Amazon best seller and still a mere $99. It's a great desk I adore it but it's far to large for what we needed.I took one look at this Techni Mobili Glass Top desk and viola! Search over, add to cart, click, buy.The desk is perfect especially if you don't need massive amounts of room. The build quality is superb in relation to price. All parts are nicely machined, it's size and dimensions are exactly as advertised and the look is sleek, modern, upscale and transitional enough to work with most any decor.Overview:* Thick quarter inch tempered glass - is gorgeous* Stable sliding keyboard drawer* Beautiful design* Easy assembly (really!)* Small foot print* Decent instructions* Great lookingAs someone who rather have root canal then but these kinds of things together - I have to tell you this is as easy as it gets. If you're like me and have trouble deciding which end of a hammer to use I can assure you that you'll be very proud of yourself. I had mine put together in 45 minutes - others with a complete set of brain cells could probably knock it out in 30 minutes.Glass is wonderful because it goes un noticed and what is more, makes smaller rooms look and feel largerThe desk arrived in two days - thank's to our Prime membership and it's perfect. The high gleam accents against the brushed silver is quite beautiful, good build quality and great bang for your buck all add up to a smart buy.If I had my druthers the keyboard drawer would be glass as well. Oh well,C'est Le Vie.As for stability it's just fine, if it seems a bit wobbly adjust the bottoms of the legs and or have the back against a wall. The desk arrived wonderfully packaged and in pristine condition, the glass is protected by a Styrofoam encasement as are the other components. If you're on the fence about this desk my advice is don't be. You'll find it a superb buy . Plus this desk is eligible for Prime and you'll get free two day shipping to boot.

VERY sturdy and simple to assemble
I put two of these desks together for my kids (I'm a mid-30s woman) and had no issues.Pros1) Very easy to assemble. You do need a bit of strength to pick up the very heavy glass desk top, so if you're very small, you might struggle a little. Recommend using your own tools rather than the kiddie tools included (which is nice still). You'll need a Phillip's screwdriver, a socket wrench, and an Allen Wrench. Took me about 45 minutes or so per desk, and I was taking my sweet time.2) HEAVY. The glass top is VERY heavy, which is great. Neither desk suffered any damage during transit and is flawless.Cons1) Keyboard drawer. The pre-drilled holes are fine, but the material is VERY soft, and I can see needing to repair where the screws go into the keyboard drawer. It is very easy to over-tighten these, so be careful.2) Plastic facade coverings that are placed on the outside. These are pretty cheap and I can see them falling off sometime soon. Wish they had spent a bit more on these coverings. It isn't enough to downgrade the rating, but if they fall off, it makes it less aesthetically pleasing.Tips1) Ensure to not fully tighten the fasteners that support the top until you insert the other minor support tubes (most folks know this, but just in case). If you were to fully tighten the fasteners, you won't be able to get the other support tubes inserted.I recommend these desks for anyone that wants an attractive looking option that is affordable at the same time.

Simple desk, strong construction, great surface.
While lacking any drawers, cubbies, or shelves, this plain and simple desk is easy to put together, strong materials (no fiberboard or weak locking nuts- 4 plastic appearance pieces have no structural value) makes this a value purchase. I did not have any issues with anything not aligning properly as some mentioned, and the whole thing went together in 20 minutes. The glass is thick and strong, and looks really nice. The keyboard tray is big enough for my extended keyboard (10 on right and hot macro keys on left), but not enough room for a mouse with my keyboard.A notable exception to most Build-it-yourself furniture, this one includes a large handled- very strong- Allan wrench for assembly. Most of the time you get a wimpy little thing that is cheap and barely finishes the job before striping out, if that. This kit includes the strongest, most user friendly assembly tool I've ever seen in a kit like this. One side note I'll make: I wanted to switch out the base feet for some rollers, but the feet come in a metric size that I couldn't find any rollers which would work. If you want to add rollers it would need to be drilled and tapped, thought for almost everyone this is probably a non-issue, I thought I'd mention it.Edit: The Keyboard IS some kind of MDF, but the tray rollers have tabs that support it in addition to the screws that keep it in place. I've had keyboard trays that only have little screws on the side that eventually break and the tray becomes useless. With the tab supports all the screws have to do is keep it from moving, not supply structural support.
