ASLAM Wiper Blade Refills 14" 6mm for Conventional Frame Windshield Wipers(Set of 2)

Great value for money. Fit perfectly in my Lexus wiper and works like the Toyota rubber refill. Now left to be seen how long it will last with normal use. My Toyota refills are usually changed at 9 months when they start to streak and become a bit noisy.

Ordinarily, I buy replacement wiper rubber at a local auto parts store (LAPS). This time, I had to go to the counter clerk because the usual display only showed wiper blades. The clerk said he only had the driver's side for my car but then was unable to find them in back. He offered to order them for me; I decided to check Amazon instead. I received these the next day. These are rubber only; you have to reuse the steel stiffeners (my Subaru manual calls them spines). The factory spines were thicker than the spines that come with the Trico wiper refills that I used to buy at the LAPS. The factory spines are also curved and the concave side should be against the windshield. The thicker spines were harder to keep in the wiper rubber grooves while pulling all 3 through the wiper arm claws so I inserted the rubber through the claws first and slid the first spine through the groove and the claws. The second spine was a tight fit; I had to withdraw the rubber and first spine from 2 claws at the end, pull the second spine through to the end of the rubber and then pull all 3 to the end of the wiper blade. Taping all 3 together and pulling them through might also have worked. When I started working on the passenger side wiper, I noticed some grime on the spines so I cleaned them off. I was able to slide both spines in easily and cut the rubber down to match the shorter length of this wiper blade (475 mm vs 650 mm). One other note, the closed end of the wiper rubber should be at the lower end of the wiper blade as it strokes across the windshield. My wipers operate smoothly, evenly and quietly with this rubber, but that is with the windshield washer fluid. They haven't been storm tested yet, and I have no idea about the service life.

Does not come with the metal rails. You have to reuse your old one. While trying to insert the rails into the rubber, simultaneously holding them in place, while sliding them into the wiper arm not only did I cut myself it took almost two hours. I finally gave up and went to the auto parts store and purchased a new arm. ($15.00x2). Ok, the refills were ($9/2), so a great savings. Factor in my time, well just buy the entire blade not just the refill.

Fits like original easy to install

The quality is good, but make sure to check lenght and thickness before purchasing yours. Amazon recommended this for my car, but it is too thin for Sienna 2018 front passenger side windshield wiper.It moves and comes off after each use. It should be at least two millimeters thicker.

Just slide out the metal spines from each side of the original blade, then slide out the blade. Slide in these new blades, re-insert the metal spines one at a time and be sure the last crimp fits into the cut-out on at the end of the blade. No big deal. Done and done. Super easy at a fraction of the cost of new entire wipers.Fits my 2019 Dodge Challenger perfectly and was easy to replace!

at 1/4 the cost of replacement blades, it's worth it to DIY.Once installed, the blades worked as good as new.
