Perfect tool for the job!!!
Needing to replace the leaking fuel check valve before a long bike trip on a 2012 CVO ROAD GLIDE CUSTOM this was the tool i needed.Having never done this task before I contacted HD service and was again quoted a crazy service price I did some University of YouTube research and found this tool instead of the HD model. The HD tool was anywhere from $200.00 - $90.00 if you could find it as it is always back ordered. It wasn't carried at the HD shop and needed to be special ordered and on Ebay it was also crazy priced.Had this Lang tool delivered with Prime in a day for under $30.00 bucks.Tips:- Discount your battery and the fuel fuse. Follow service manual.- Empty the tank and purge the tank. See the service manual of U of YouTube for this. If not you will make a gas mess.- Make sure the bike is in gear and the kick/jiffy stand is down.- Protect your tanks paint.- Work from the right side of the tank to apply pressure on the bike so you don't pull/push the bike over.- Spray the tabs with a safe lubricant like silicone.- Once you place the tool on the ring tabs press down evenly and slowly turn.- While pushing down apply steady pulling pressure on the handle. Be careful not to use the very end of the hanfle as this tool is made of a hard plastic not metal.- The key is proper placement of the tool, downward pressure, steady pulling of the tool.- Be carefull not to not damage the rubber gasket in the housing after the ring is removed or you will have to order another from HD. If damaged you will have another leak!Like I said this was super easy and saved hundreds of dollars. It took longer to change the fuel check valve and get it reattached to the fuel pump but all in all with prep, installing and clean-up it was an hour in a half job.Just because I was being super careful not to screw anything up.Good luck...#GO FAST DON'T DIE

Good for the money
Its not quite as beefy as it looks. Granted the ring hasn’t been off in 13 years, it flexed a little to much and thought it was going to snap. After spraying the ring with WD, the wrench did its job; then re installing went smoothly. It fit perfectly over the lock ring tabs, and the lever is a decent length for leverage. It does beat using a hammer and punch and risking damaging the tank

Does The Job
The tool works well, I would advise using a piece of pipe over the handle to give better control and minimize handle flexing when removing the lock ring. When reinstalling the lock ring I use a bit of lubricant at the tab contact lock surfaces and the cheater pipe is not necessary. I recommend this tool. It is well worth it to minimize the risk of damaging a fuel tank.

Perfect Lock ring tool for my Harley Davidson.
With this tool, removing the lock ring on my gas tank was a breeze. Sure beats using a punch an hammer to knock it loose. Eliminates any possible damage to the tank that a punh and hammer could cause.
