This set of paints has everything you need to get started with watercolour painting. There is a lovely metal palette of paints in various colours with 2 brushes, a normal one and one that I'm not sure what to do with, I never thought I'd need instructions on how to use a paint brush but I've never seen one like this before. There is also a pencil with a rubber on the end, but it does require sharpening before use. There is masking tape and parchment type postcard sized paper on which to do your artwork, there is even a mat to protect your surface from the paint. It comes in a box and a plastic tray that can be used to mix your paint, so don't throw that away thinking it's part of the packaging. This would make an ideal gift for someone just starting out with watercolour painting, the only thing I think you will need is an egg cup in which to put your water.

Nice kit, although the paper tape was not included.It has 24 colours and there's one brush included only. In addition to this there are some papers, a wash pen and a sponge. Brush needs to be deeped enough in the colour to be able to draw a bright colour.I am a beginner (well to be sincere I have never started, so don't have any experience with drawing apart from what I learned at school 26 years ago) and me and my son had fan. It's one of those activities very relaxing for adults and for children.Colours are in little squares but they are quite thick so don't finish too soon.One thing I don't like much is the fact that colours are very close to each other so you end up touching the other colour while you try to pick up another one.The price is quite average so overall I would recommend.

There is an anti slip mat provided, with a wipe cloth, a pencil and easy peel off tape.The colours are -White, lemonade, light yellow, medium yellow, skin colour, yellow green, grass green, light green, dark green, sky blue, light blue, dark blue, orange, red, rose red, pink, deep purple, lavender, earthly yellow, cooked brown, ochre, grey and black.These are absolutely beautiful to work with. The colours, all except for the light pink, are very pigmented. They cream up really easily and are very nice to paint with. The colours can blend really well, even after they've dried somewhat. The paintbrush is gorgeous to paint with also.For the price, I would recommend this kit. Really beautiful watercolour paints with handy accessories.

I am new to watercolours so will be reviewing this from a novice's perspective.This set includes everything needed to get started from the paints themselves to paper and all the other accessories needed to begin enjoying this hobby. Everything seems to be well designed and feels good quality for the price.There are a good selection of colours and the paints produce good coverage whist being easy to blend. The paper takes the colour well and holds up to a bit of amateur over use.Overall I love this set. It has everything required to get going and represents good value for money. Recommended.

I grabbed this for my son as his last paint set was about to run out and I thought this would be perfect, he is only a little one so I’m not sure if he could tell the difference between the paints I get for him normally to these which he tried for the first time a few days ago. He didn’t complain about anything so that’s a plus and I like that it’s all compacted in to a metal tin. It’s great quality much better then what I’m used to getting. The colours are bold and pigmented so they should go a long way for someone who would be using them professionally. I would recommend this product.

You get a lot for your money with this kit and the contents are of very high quality. You have everything you need to get you going. Ethically I’d rather not have the sheep skin leather mat especially when plastic is just as good especially from China. The handle on the back of the tin is a nice touch. It would’ve been nice to have had some instructions for novices as the water pen looks amazing. The cute postcards make a lovely base for little paintings. The tape is handy to make a frame with so you have nice clean white borders. Makes for a lovely gift as you get so much in the pack to explore.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  Very complete set for beginners, I don’t know much about water colour paint quality but I liked this set, there are some colours which need more work as you can see in the video the pink was not very pigmented, what I did was to scratch it a little bit and it was fine, some other colours don’t need that done. For the price I think is quite complete and I don’t see it very expensive. I definitely recommend it if you are starting and don’t want to spend a lot of money.

24 water paints set includes a quality brushes for detailed work, a wash blending pen, a cloth which is like a very large lens cleaning cloth, a pencil with a rubber in the other end small sponge and a roll of tape. The paints are in a plastic tray which is nice & deep. The colours are vibrant. The tape is really handy to make a frame outline with so you have nice straight border. Absolutely love the pull ring as it’s designed to hold the tin stable while painting. Love the colours, love the brushes actually LOVE the full set
