My expectations were met with this costume, my wife and I are going to a Halloween event in a month or so and I'm going to be a King needless to say. I got this costume yesterday and it's pretty thin, not bad as costumes go, but not fantastic either. I will also say that you need a very good steam iron and some heavy starch to make the jacket and shoulder ribbon look presentable. They look terrible out of the package and it took me some creative ironing to get them looking like you see in the picture, could be better, maybe I will iron it again before I wear it. The shoulder ribbon is the most difficult to iron, what I found that worked pretty good was to take two chip clips and stretch it across the length of your ironing board with the ribbon upside down so you are ironing the backside, wet it pretty good with heavy starch and then get at it. Oh, make sure you turn your iron down a little if you normally iron cottons, I'm not sure what this was made of so I was careful not to melt it on top of my ironing board. As for the jacket, it's about the thickness of a shirt so I just ironed it like I would a shirt, turned out pretty good... Would I buy this again now that I've seen it, sure, it's not bad for a costume, I wasn't expecting the quality of a uniform or something. We can all want for better I suppose though, I might take this to the local dry cleaner and ask them if they can put in some really heavy commercial starch, that might make it look even better.
