At first I was uncertain if I should get the 2,500 lumens option, but I'm very happy that I did. This thing is unbelievably bright, very sturdy, and seems to be very well made. I tested the flashlight out in a dark room in my house, and it honestly filled the entire room to the point where it nearly looked like daylight. Part of my issue with other flashlights (or others that are less powerful) is the "tunnel vision" that is created with the beam. With other flashlights I will oftentimes only be able to see directly what I'm looking at, with very little ambient light to brighten the rest of the space. This flashlight solves that issue by being so remarkably powerful and dispersing the light in such a way that it brightens everything nearby. Other pros include the handle (uses 9 AAA batteries, as opposed to larger D batteries), the overall size, and the positioning of the on/off/toggle button. Don't let a $60 price tag deter you... this was money well spent.

Be sure to look at all the pics in the display--this is about 6" long.Pros: 1. The beam is bright. I use it for seeing inside dark cupboards and under furniture, but it is bright enough for outside nighttime use to find something in the yard-shed or on the patio.2. It feels good in the hand, not front-heavy, not so light it could easily flip out of your hand.Cons: 1. I like the battery carriage, it's easy to load, but it's plastic. I hope Duracell offers replacements. 2. The packaging!! It's almost impenetrable.

Another product that is poorly described! I ordered the 1000 because it was supposed to use AA batteries. As you can see in my picture, it uses the C-cell batteries. We do not like these; they're heavy and do not last as long as AA batteries. I wish to God that sellers and Amazon would post accurate photos and descriptions for products. This is not the first time I've encountered this problem. Because this item is a birthday gift for my mother-in-law, I do not have the time to return it and buy another flashlight. I will update this post after she has had a chance to use it. But I already know she will complain about the weight (due to heavy batteries).

The best feature is that the on/off switch is a real switch. When it is off the batteries are complexly disconnected. This means that the flashlight can sit unused for years and the batteries are still good.Many LED flashlights do not have true on/off switches and drain power from the batteries to detect when you press the button. This ensures that when you grab the flashlight when the lights go out, that the batteries will be dead. Useless.The flash light is bright and the beam size is easy to zoom.

The flashlight is a basic LED light with a wide field of view coverage. It takes 3 AAA batteries. The on/Off is a button at the back end, took a while to get it to work, but it seems fine. It is a bit heavy for its size. It has 3 modes as noted, the first two are normal and the third is a rapid flashing mode one assumes for some emergency.I have tried the light at night and it is adequate but not great. The color is a bot on the blue side and the intensity is marginal to adequate. For the price not clear if it is really worth it. But it seems quite well built and durable.

Strongest flashlight I've ever owned

First of all, it's a solidly built flash light with a very bright light (350 lumens), however very disappointed with the characteristics of the beam. There is a very pronounced thick yellow border around the beam and secondly, when in focus position the beam is not round, rather more like a square with rounded corners. I have a very inexpensive around 40 - 50 lumen flashlight that came with a emergency kit and even that dose not have a visible yellow halo/border and its beam is round.I also don't see where this could illuminate an object 100m with any effectiveness since it doesn't do a very good job with my back fence at 30m when in focus mode.It would of been a winner if the beam quality wasn't so bad.

This is the best flashlight I have ever had in my 79 years. I highly recommend it to everyone looking for anew flashlight. It is small, lightweight, and powerful. I am super pleased with mine and will purchase more for gifts.
