Install was super easy just stinks that it doesnt work when using 4k uhd and will flicker the image on the screen.

Worked well in the basement wall where I had only 2" from the drywall to the concrete foundation. No strain on the HDMI cords plugged into the back of the wall plug. My only compliant is the HDMI plugs are held into the wall plate with 2 small screws and it's not as sturdy as it would be if they were mounted solid into the faceplate. However, the plate/plugs function without issue and this unit works well if you don't have much space behind the drywall to run the attached cables.

Editing this review because I've now tried three different sets of wall plates from 3 manufacturers and none of them work for 4K so I'm thinking it's probably not the wall plate but my setup. I am running from an Xbox One X to HDMI cable, to LG SJ9 soundbar, to HDMI cable, to wall plate, to HDMI cable in wall, to wall plate, to HDMI cable, to LG OLED 4K TV. That means the 4K signal is crossing 5 connectors from Xbox to TV. That is a lot of points of possible failure. Instead what I've decided to do is run one long cable from the soundbar to the TV through the wall, reducing the number of connections by two and directly connecting the LG soundbar to the LG TV. This works. For 1080p applications these wall plates work fine, even with the 5 connections, but I think it is simply too much for 4K.

I have used a few different HDMI wall plates in my home and this brand is the best one so far. It's build quality is fantastic. It is very easy to install. I used two "old construction" wall boxes that do not need to be mounted to a stud (they are the orange ones in the big home store). Had two installed within 20 minutes. I used Amazon basic 3 foot HDMI cables. Picture and sound quality is perfect. There is no loss as far as I can tell. The plate is a little smaller than a standard size plate (see my picture) but the plates are both hidden behind the TV and floor unit so it is fine.

These wall plates are super easy to install. The fitting is perfect and the use is exactly what it’s intent is.The additional line from the back is very helpful especially when the line inside the wall doesn’t have much wiggle room to bend to connect. And the part fits well on half boxes installed on walls. I don’t know I could install these face plates on the dry wall itself, so do need the half or full boxes on the wall to mount.

Works great, easy install. Tip run the cords out of your wall box from the wall plate, otherwise it’s a tip fit plugging in the hdmi cords and getting everything closed up.
