Well written pattern that is easy to understand and follow.

This quilt design is outstanding! I have not made it yet but did look the pattern over pretty carefully. The directions seem clear, and I like that the pieces are printed on one side of very light paper.Looking forward to diving in.

I bought this pattern after completing another of this designer’s quilt patterns. Like the first pattern purchased, the designer does an excellent job with her written directions, almost to the point of giving too much information. That being said, I do not think she should change her format for the details she includes. I believe her ability to “cover all bases” is what helps the quilter be successful with her detailed quilts. For those who wish to skip her suggestions, you are likely to have problems with the quilt lying flat. I’ve seen this several times with people trying to take short-cuts. I am currently doing a challenge with a long distance family member and friend. They had no problems with their patterns. I had two issues with my pattern with the first two items I started. First of all, I did not get all my paper pieces included in the pattern. Thank goodness the pieces missing were needed twice. It will require me to copy the piece I did get. Secondly, one of the first pieces used on the pattern had different markings on the pattern for what they chart told me to cut. Since I’ve done paper piecing for a while, I was able to correct this issue before sewing. Since these two issues at the onset, all has gone well. It pieces well together and is remarkably beautiful when sewn together. If you are a beginner to paper piecing, this pattern is not for you. I gave a 4 rating instead of a 5 specifically due to the missing and incorrectly printed pattern pieces. Otherwise, the rating would be a 5.
