Great GPU
Makes a real difference for game play.It is a relatively long card, so you need to ensure that your motherboard will accommodate it.But I do have to keep the side off of my PC to keep it cool.I plan on adding a cooling fan to that side panel. The card works great.

Beast, but it will cost you.
Cards a beast. Getting almost 100fps in CP2077 with everything maxed out in 1440p. So far any game I have played has been solid. Albeit I don’t have a ton of game time. But CP2077, Control, GTAV, TW 3 Kingdoms, All run really well. Haven’t really tried on the LG CX in 4K yet, but I plan to. It does get a bit loud under load. But mine is also vert mounted and facing at me. But even then it’s tolerable. I just got my EK block so it will be going under water soon. So that won’t be an issue. I have heard some reports of coil whine. Mine seems to be ok in this regard. Temps are good. Even under full load it’s maxing at around 78c thats with the case closed. Much less with it open. While I still think the 3080 is the best card to get for the $. The 3090 also shines in other areas that require a lot of Vram. Such in my case Fusion360 and Blender. They run so much better compared to my 1080ti. It’s night and day. But still price is a bit too much. If it had been what the 2080ti was when it launched. It wouldn’t be getting so much hate. Great card just overpriced for what you get. Full disclosure ASUS is offering 90 days extension to warranty for review of their product.

ASUS NEEDS TO TAKE MY MONEY AND SELL ME MY 5090 ASSTRAL.
This has been a phenomenal card. I paid original msrp on it. Value far exceeded my expectations. The issue today is NVidia and its board partners. Particularly ASUS. JUST TAKE MY MONEY AND PRESELL ME A 5090 ASSTRAL!!!I had stable temps in 60's and cooling was never an issue until I put in a Ultra 285k. The card performs flawlessly and seems to be even better with a proper cpu and not an i9-9900kIt's ran cinebench without failure and no system crashes in furmark stress test, perfectly STABLE. And though all of that, it's the cpu and not the gpu that you will hear fans ramp up.

Awesome GPU if bought from Asus and not a 3rd party
To start with yes, make sure you buy this from Asus and not a 3rd party scalping store. This card is awesome, im able to max out everything and works like a charm.. a luxury charm. Did a quick benchmark without OC (3rd picture) and you can see that it does reflect a 10% better results than a Rog Strix 3080 and more % againts the other lower tier brands such as Zotac.Noise is great, it doesnt bother at all and saw some people in Youtube complaining about a Coil Whine, for some reason its not happening in this one doesnt matter if the fan curve is low, high or around 60%.Temps are great always around 60 at peak, most I have seen is 70ish almost 80 on CyberPunk which then kickstarts the fans at 100% and lowers again to 68ish.Its design its great, looks awesome, loved the goodies and I will pick this again over an Aorus Xtreme.Note: Im still pending to seriously OC it, for now I only unlocked the power consumption limit.Note2: I paired this with a 1300 PSU from EVGA and a sag thingy to keep it perfectly leveled.

How Fast Do You Want to Go?
I'm not really a gamer... I have Flight Simulator. I do content creation with software like Maya, Cinema 4d, Houdini to name a few, I use GPU render engines... Redshift, Vray, Fstorm, Maverick Studio. I had a RTX 2080 Ti and a GTX 980 Ti.... Replacing the GTX 980 Ti my renders have just about tripled with the 3090.One issue I found is if you drive two monitors with the 3090 it is always at 53% fan @ 1000 rpm at 0% GPU usage. After much aggravation I moved my second monitor to a DP on the 2080 Ti and now the fans spin down to 0% when idle. Rendering software like the ones mentioned above do not care which GPU drives the monitors, but Photoshop would crash if the main monitor was on the 2080 Ti. So my main Samsung 28" UHD monitor is on the 3090 and my second Samsung is on the 2080 Ti.Everything works perfect... Microsoft Flight Simulator chose ultra setting by default.Very happy now without the fan spinning for no reason. Today my flight controller arrived.Happy Rendering!https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00009OY9U?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details

Top Tier Pefromance
The Asus Strix RTX 3090 OC Edition is a beast of a card, at the consumer level there is no work load this beast cannot handle. The Asus Strix brand also brings with it quality, all the components working on this card from power delivery to the heat sink and dRGB is top shelf. With performance comes significant power draw, so be prepared to have a beefy power supply, I believe 850 W is recommended, and you will need it at the minimum. My typical power draw on this card with a Core i9-10980XE is between 600 and 680 Watts under load, so 850 is just about right to ensure margin. There has been a lot said about coil whine, and it is present on this card. However, in an enclosed case I must specifically concentrate on hearing it before I can tell it is present. Open case, it is faint but noticeable. Under headphones there is nothing at all. I suspect for most people the whine is a non-issue, some are much more sensitive to it... whether they have more acute hearing or if it is psychological not sure, but for me it is a non-issue.
