ObenBA-126 Single Lever Ball Head

I own 4 of these in my shop. I have other photographers use them daily, along with myself. 95% are in a studio environment. I use one to shoot sports leagues outdoors. I have used them in early morning cold, and desert heat. They are quick to lock, without being touchy. Why would you want to have more than one lever to adjust? It supports a Nikon D800 with a heavy lens, no problem. I'll be disappointed when Oben decides to 'upgrade' and make it 'better' because it will be difficult to do that. My only wish is for a head like this that locks (clicks in) to both vertical and horizontal. Not everyone is in the bush setting up. Some of us are on level floors.

I have a Nikon D 7500 attached to a Sigma 150-600 with a 1.4 teleconverter. It is a heavy combination, attached to 2 of these heads on to 2 different monopods. The BA 126 holds this rig rigid and allows quick panning. I have tried other heads by other manufacturers, some for more money and smaller Oben heads and returned them as they could not prevent the camera/lens from moving when locked. I do wish the cut out for shooting vertically was on the other side as you have to rotate the head so the lock lever is on the left side to use it. As far as I know Oben is the only provider that does that. It is the best head I have tried.

A good robust Ball head. I used it with a Manfrotto MT190GOA4TB tripod. Fit great and works great. I am using it to hold a PIG mount for my RPR. I would recommend this combo to not break the bank but get mission accomplished. The quality is very nice.

The lever is a little hard to get used to . I have rheumatoid arthritis in my hands so it was a little hard to work at first but I am doing ok with it now. Works fine though . Good value for the money.

This works perfect. Heavy duty and keeps camera at whatever angle you choose. I have another one of their quick release plates on my glidecam and I can switch between the two flawlessly. Highly recommend.

Have two other Oben Ball heads, but wanted/needed the Quick release setup. I haven't taken it off since it arrived. Will go back to my other 2 depending on each situation, but this has its PURPOSE and as in its name.... it's a Quick Release..... and the ball head can handle the heavier telephoto lens, like the 100-600mm and the 400mm.

I used this for my hunting rifle on a Slik tripod and it works great!
