Amazing Lift Arc Tig
I bought this to teach myself tig as I’d never tig welded before at the time. I’d only done MiG/stick. This machine has been amazing for tig. Mostly 11g to 1/8 carbon, & stainless steel. Runs good at lower amperage’s with a very decent duty cycle. I think it’s 65% might be wrong.

Nice little welder.
2020 update. Welder is still going strong. No issues with any rods I use. 7018, 6010, 6011 and a bit of 7014. The machine started screaming again from time to time. It is very intermittent and it goes away when I cycle power. It isn't a huge problem, but it is annoying.Original review:I'm impressed so far. Before buying this I considered a thunderbolt or lincoln tombstone. After reading some reviews and watching some videos, I ordered this one. Glad i did. This thing is tiny and super portable. It has performed very well also. I have burned 7018, 7014, 7024, 6013, 6011 and 6010. All on 240v. All worked really well. Nice arc...and I the machine I am used to costs thousands more than this one. 1/8" Lincoln 6010 using the dedicated port worked great. No problems striking and maintaining the arc...even on nasty, painted, rusty steel. Burned right through that junk without issue. I have not tried this unit on 120v...i really don't know why I would either. I dont get some people's unrealistic expectations from a 120v stick welder....The leads are super short. I will be buying longer ones soon. The stinger seems adequate and is working well. I may upgrade the ground clamp as later on. This one has worked fine, however. One thing that concerned me was when I used it for the first time. I powered the welder on and it started screaming like a banshee. I let it do this for about 15 seconds before shutting it down. I immediately powered it back up and there was no scream. It hasn't done that since the first use. I have no idea what the deal was but I have seen a few other folks say the same thing.I don't have a lot of hours on the machine yet, so I will come back and update this review as time passes. So far, it has been great.

Pros / Cons of Everlast 200STI
Beginning welder here. Pros: Amps out seems conservative on this unit, I have only used it on 220/240VAC so far. Arc Force and Hot start work well. Tack welds with 1/8" 6011 rods are very nice and penetrate deep, 1/8" 7014 / Fleetweld 46 rod starts well, and makes great beads on A36 steel, even with some mill scale. Cons: Green Amps display is small, dim, and thus very hard to read outdoors. Annoyingly, you better cup your hand over this one. Minus one star for a dim display, and minus one star for customer service that said "there is no fix." Everlast, push more current to your tiny display. The main leads have plenty!

Highly recommended for beginners.
This is my first stick welder from a quality company. I had purchased a couple of cheap welders earlier (one transformer, and another $130 IGBT based) to learn welding by watching YouTube videos. Those welders could not run 6011 well, and 6010 was almost impossible, as it would stick hopelessly before my IGBT welder got burnt (twice), as increasing the amps was the only way to keep those rods going. This welder runs 6011 like butter with no sticking, and I could keep the arc very tight with the dedicated 6010 ground port. I just used 40 amp, and that was sufficient to weld black 1/2" pipe to similar thickness metal. I felt safe to draw that much current from my 220 V dryer plug, though 110 V adapter would have been sufficient. I am not sure if I would be using my 7018 rods until I get a 50 amp plug, and needing to weld thicker metal.I am really thrilled after completing my first real project like a pro, making a dolly for my kayak, with strong welds having good penetration. I would highly recommend this stick welder to beginners, as it if very forgiving.

Great little welder for the money
Great little welder for the money. If I had to pick something negative to say, it would be the arch being so forceful creates a bunch of splatter. ( could be me, I’m not a certified welder) other than that is packed full of power and welds nicely.

Excellent machines
This is the third Everlast machine that I own. I had purchased this unit to use instead of hauling my Miller Trailblazer to the job all the time when power is available to use on the job site. It's a very sweet machine, it purrs when burning 6010 and spreads 7018 like butter. The unit automatically senses the voltage110/220 and is set to go. I had and still have Lincoln and Miller machines, but I will say these units will do what they are advertised to do and compare easily to the top brands in performance without paying a fortune. I have been using a 250EX for Tig welding about 4 years now and have not had a single issue with it. These units are very well built and reasonably priced.

Welds amazingly
Working industrial construction I've welded with plenty of Miller's and Lincoln's and this thing out welds either. For the price I paid I've easily made it back x10 and it's still going strong. unfortunately the screen stopped showing the correct amperage a few months in and it wasn't worth sending it back so I've had to deal with it a long time. Wish the support was better.
