Handles my German Shepherd's nails quick, easily, and painlessly.
The clippers are large, but that's because they are made for large dogs and they get the job done with very little hassle. Once I found the best way to hold them and handle them, they made quick work of my dog's nails without splitting them or taking excessive force. Trimmers I used in the past that were marketed for large dogs and being sharp would take tremendous effort just to cut through one nail, but these were as easy as snip, snip, snip, and a treat for a reward. They work so well in fact that I used them to trim the nails of both my cats as well, and somehow the process ended up being quicker and easier than with my usual cat nail trimmers. Needless to say, as long as you don't find them unwieldy due to the size and weight, they are great for any size dog. My cats prefer them now because it makes the process so much shorter for them and doesn't split or damage their nails. On a side note, the added features (nail file, quick guard/catch tray, etc.) were not important to me when I bought the trimmers. I didn't have any issue with these features getting in the way, as any function I didn't want was either stored in the handle out of the way or, in the case of the catch tray, once twisted out of the path of the blades it stayed out of my way. I'm perfectly satisfied with basic cutting nails and being done with it.All in all, these worked great. The craftsmanship is sturdy enough I expect to get my money's worth out of them, but I would imagine if used in a commercial setting, they may wear out or break under the intense use. Frankly, even if they break tomorrow, I'd buy another pair.

Just Doesn’t Work
I received this the same night I used it, and immediately could tell the quality on these was going to be a 50/50. Sure, they’re heavy. But the packaging and overall frustration of trying to open up each component of the clippers gave me the sense that they were poorly engineered. But, I held out hope, and went to clip my dogs nails. He’s not a big fan of it but will endure for treats. However, these lasted through maybe 3-4 of his nails and then suddenly stopped clipping! The poor guy had me trying to get the last nail in and while going for the clip, it twisted his nail and barely made an indent. The blade went dull that quickly. As for the nails that did get clipped, these clippers also made them cracked in spots and filing was a necessity. For a dog that has anxiety, this definitely didn’t help him one bit. I normally take him to the groomer but covid has me stuck at home, and this was just not the product it should’ve been. This is listed for $30 but I got it for $15, yet I wouldn’t pay more than $5 for these!I’m no Karen, I’m not even a crazy dog-mom. I have a Shepherd-type dog and I’m a young woman in her 20s. I never write reviews, but this was annoying enough to leave my cautionary tale, especially since the 4 stars this thing has is EXTREMELY misleading. Maybe if you have a small dog, this works great. But not $30 great. And for a large breed, this is an absolute rip off.

Best on Market
I have a 13lb mix dog with black nails. She hates having her nails cut and will try and pull away. I don’t blame her; I have accidentally cut to far and made her bleed a couple times.Given the opportunity I would have the groomer when giving her a bath do it or have the veterinarian do it because I feel so bad.Not anymore after buying these. It did take me a minute to navigate them since they are so large for such a smaller size dog, but once I got the hang of them it was smooth sailing. They are the easiest and smoothest cutting clippers I have ever used. I don’t think I will ever use a different brand ever again. I was obviously buying complete junk before.I have cut my dogs nails several times since purchasing these and am writing a review now because they are so amazing. My little dog no longer struggles when I cut her nails. Partly because I am not so nervous that I will cut to far now because I am in better control with these clippers, they cut more smoothly, and have yet to cause any breakages. She is my first dog and I have been cutting her nails since she was a puppy for three years now. Before this I only owned cats with clear nails. This is not a solicited review, I paid full price and they are worth every penny.

Nice, sturdy and smooth
My pitbull mix HATES having his nails clipped. He pulls and twists and is just a hot mess!! These clippers made the process much easier. He still hated it but he squirmed much less and I was able to get all his nails clipped In less than 5 minutes, with a helper. These are sturdy, feel nice in your hand a cut the nail quickly and smoothly. They do stick sometimes when you close them to put them away but, that is easily undone. Would most definitely recommend!!

Nice looking but not quality
As a pro pet groomer, quality nail trimmers are vital. The moment these came, I was so excited because when opened they were very hefty and seemed to be sturdy. There was a fine grit file and comb in the handle, so I saw that as a bonus. I didn’t immediately get to try them because we were on vacation, but when I took them to my cousin home to do her dogs nails, I was so disappointed. They didn’t cut the nail, they instead bent it and as all groomers know that hurts them. It also isn’t very good in the grip. You need a bit more traction to hold the trimmers safely and these just don’t offer them. I attempted once more on a smaller dog with tiny nails and the same thing happened. While the idea of them seems nice with the almost Swiss army aspect of the additions and even the nice weight to them, they just won’t do the job. At all.

Great Buy
Have 4 GSD nails to cut. The lack of noise compared to other nail clippers is a game changer. In addition these clippers are excellent for large thick nails which two of the larger dogs have! I have tried all the rest and these defo get the thumbs up for durability and easy to grip.

NOT suitable for large dog
Clippers are not sturdy enough for our German Shepherd, spring plate in scissor mechanism bends with pressure needed for large dog and won‘t cut. Waste of money for us. Might be ok for cat owner?
