Arches Rough is My Go-To
I like the Arches fine grain, and accidentally ordered this one, instead. I am glad I did! I prefer the rougher surface of this paper to the fine grain paper because it seems I have better control over my brush since the rough service keeps the bristles from slipping while painting fine details. The only downside is you have to keep your brush fairly wet, otherwise, it gives that dry brush effect, which is perfect if that is what you are looking for. Achieving the dry brush effect is much easier with the rough paper, and well, it is Arches, which I feel is the best brand of watercolor paper out there.

Papier macht tatsächlich den Unterschied - als Anfängerin probiere ich mich gerade durch die verschiedenen Hilfsmittel - ein gutes Papier macht wirklich so einiges aus. Arches kann ich nur empfehlen.
