It is crazy fast so it was a bit of a surprise for my 8 year old the first few times out.It has survived many full speed crashes into trees, curbs, garage doors and frozen snow banks. It has also survived many full speed jumps and crashes.The cover is more like the high dollar hobby kits so I wasn’t surprised when we break the front of the plastic cover. I collected all the pieces and taped them together then super glued it from the underside.We have also had fun taking it out in the snow for some high speed drifting. Then put it over the heating vent to dry it out since it’s really not supposed to get wet. So far so good.This car comes with two battery packs which is much appreciated. The battery life is quite good considering the small size of the battery pack and how fast it drives. Just plan on several hours of down time if you burn through both batteries in one session.This is a great car for the money.

First things first, this car is fast!! It does has an adjustment knob that allows you to control the speed if you would like it to be slower for a younger kid though. It is 4 wheel drive and has individual suspension for each wheel, so it is great for tougher terrain. The car also comes with 2 batteries so you can have one charged and ready when the first one runs out. This is by far the best bang for your buck that I have seen with a remote control car!

The media could not be loaded. This car is really fun. Super fast but also throttle can be adjusted to slow speed for kids or beginner, my 6yr old can drive without crashing it too hard. Big tires give the car a lot of clearance. Comes with two 1500mah Batteries, some spare screws and clips.

Bought for my son’s 10 bday. I was looking for something more rugged and more well built than the cheap stuff you can buy at Walmart and this things perfect. I’m actually still surprised how well it’s built especially the suspension. The throttle control is perfect for him to learned the controls and get familiar with it before going full throttle because it’s FAST, and awesome at hitting jumps.

Great gift for kids of any ages really. My 11 year old loves it but so does my 46 year old husband. Works great on dirt, rocks, even snow. Kept my boys busy for hours in the three months we’ve had it.

Goes fast but broke on first day of having it. The body is a cheap plastic that snaps very easily

Santa delivered with this RC beast! This is so fun and not your average remote control. Well worth the extra money from your standard $20 big box store RCs. This little power house is zippy and adventurous. Wouldn’t recommend running it inside. Kids will run it into the wall or other things and the frame will crack. Take it outside for optimal speed and fun. We’ve jumped snow banks and it also ventures a good distance from the controller. Battery life is average, keep the spare charged for sure. Highly recommend for lots of fun!

My son received this gift for Christmas and only one week later, the plastic cover is cracked and one of the axels has broken loose. It's super fast and easy to use, but poorly constructed which makes it a poor value. Rated 2 stars for speed but overall not a good R/C.

The media could not be loaded. Update August 2021I ended up loving the first car we purchased that I bought a second. Both models are well built. There are slight differences between the 2 that change what terrain they perform best on. The green or wind speed model has a higher ride height and air filled tires with aggressive tread. This allows it to easily handle light mud, taller grass, sticks, rocks, paved surfaces, dirt paths, mulch, etc. The red model or THUNDER has harder rubber tires with the same aggressive treads as the wind speed. Its ride height is slightly lower and gets stuck in taller grass. It handles light mud, sticks, rocks, paved surfaces, dirt, mulch with ease also.Both have 4x4 capability. The wind speed controller has throttle control, so when my younger son plays with it I can turn down the max speed for indoor play. The THUNDER model only has steering trim adjustment and speed is controlled by the trigger on the remote, this model we use strictly outside as inside the car is much too fast for our small area and my son only knows one speed "fast!"Overall I am very impressed with the durability and build quality of these RC cars. 4x4 and power to climb over most anything has brought my son and I hours of joy. The batteries last for a while, are easy to change and charge relatively fast.If I look to buy more RC cars or other toys in the future MaxTronic will be my first stop to shop.First review:Model: Wind SpeedOverall I am quite impressed with this rc car. The chassis is very sturdy and well balanced.The batteries are easy to remove and charge.The controller does require some initial tuning out of the box to calibrate steering and throttle, but is relatively easy to do.The tires grip multiple terrain types very well. The motor output is insane, on grass and dirt this car will often raise the front end off the ground for 6 to 8 feet from a start.The car is very fast when the throttle trim is maxed out on the controller.This is a very good mid level, mid priced rc car. Speed, 4x4 capability, responsive, easy to maintain and change the battery.Each wheel has power drive, and individual suspension. When traveling off road this rc car floats over it. Other rc cars I've had on the past were fixed wheels with no suspension and made for a very bumpy ride.This car jumps very well and lands smoothly.I'd recommend this rc car.

The mechanical parts of this RC are good, functional, fast, easy to control. However, the body has already started to deteriorate after just 2 days of very moderate use. The holes where the body slips onto the chassis have torn, and the front behind the bumper has ripped. This body is very poor quality--disappointing since there rest of the vehicle works well.

The media could not be loaded. The operation is beautiful. The machine has sufficient power and due to its 4-wheel drive can handle inclines capably. With a low centre of gravity, and a relatively wide base, it does not tilt over even when moving across inclines of +45o. I ran it up a children’s slide and it took the traverse in excellent fashion; without a hitch or stoppage, or tilting over. Since the material of the slide was plastic, there was some slipping of tyres.The on-off switch for the car, as described in the manual, appears to be accessible only if the cover is removed. I decided to cut a hole in it so that I could manipulate the button, even while the cover was on the truck. When I was ready to do that, I noticed that in current configuration, it is possible to insert a finger from near the front right wheel and operate the button. This however is not evident from the manual.The cover for the battery has to be forced open after removing the pin clip. The other end does not release from the chassis hence the cover does not come off completely.I bought it for my grandson, but my son (30+) usurped and it and my grandson has yet to see it.

Great purchase! Very good quality! My son loves this car, very fast and fun to drive! Delivered in only 2 days! Awesome! Update,my son had an accident and broke a vital part. They didn't have that part available for replacement so they sent a new car free of charge! Amazing customer service!

This product was a quality disappointment. Within just one week of use, the front shock absorber broke, and the body started to crack. From the beginning, I noticed the steering required significant adjustment to keep the vehicle straight. It's evident that there are significant quality issues with this product. I've reached out to the merchant, waiting for a response. My son likes the car. Its just broken now, so the fun stopped...
