“Prayer” has had a negative connotation to me as a overly religious activity so I focused on positive thinking and setting intentions, mildly effective.This book changed my vision of a prayer and how to create powerful ways of speaking to spirit (or whatever you call this). I’m grateful to have these tools that have proved time and time again to bring peace and results on my path in life.What a great bridge from the world of previously known “prayer” to inclusive shaman & earth wisdom for those of us who don’t show up at a “church”.

This is a great book with prayers to use and methods for your own words. Easy. Not overwhelming, but simple and beautifully written prayers.This book is not based on Christian prayers but on those developed by a great American shaman.

Very engaging and informative. I recommend this book to anyone that's looking to connect with spirit and gain better knowledge of self.

If you want to change your life, this book will help you do it through prayer.

Many people talk about prayer, but few talk about how to do it. I've been meditating for 25 years. I do not pray everyday but have learned over the years that some forms of prayer have power behind them and others don't. In this book, Jose Stevens explains why. I wish I had this many years ago. It would have saved me lots of time in my spiritual pursuits.

I really was surprised by this book. It surpassed whatever ideas I had of what it might contain. It now has a treasured place in my collection. I suggest checking out some of Jose's writings and webinars from the Power Path School of Shamanism website first, or his contributions to the Society for Shamanic Practice's website to get a taste of his writing voice, teaching style and approach to Shamanic practice if you are new to this kind of thing. But if you are curious, the book will appeal to anyone with an open heart and mind. I really appreciated the simplicity and usefulness of these prayers, and am inspired to create my own.

This is a book for anyone and everyone, regardless of religious affiliation (or not being religious at all). The combination of personal anecdotes and historical perspective, when coupled with José’s calm and inviting voice, create an opportunity to make any prayer more sacred and profound.
