Rootless Tactical MOLLE Military Sling Daypack - Small Messenger Bag,

Small but can carry most of what’s in my IFAK, plus other items. The only issue I have is how the shoulder strap is angled against the pack makes it harder to keep it upright while accessing contents. It sits on my side/hip straight but when I try to retrieve items the pack ends up almost sideways. I tried in many different length and positioning in my side/hip but just didn’t work. But it’s useful enough I took it with me on my deployment. It was perfect to carry what I needed without having to carry a backpack which would have been really hot out in the field. I can wear my camel pack with this one also which was a plus. My only wish would be to maybe have a shoulder pad but I suppose I can fashion one from my other packs. Overall I’m pleased with it. A couple of guys from my company ended up ordering one after seeing mine.

I carry tools to do printer repair. The seams where the shoulder strap attaches are a little weak. I have to repair holes at both sides on bottom of pack. Other than this it's a great pack. Small/compact and easy to carry.

Great construction. Should last a very long time. Very versatile will be perfect for my needs.

The bag is perfect for what I need. However, the sling in the image of the man wearing it is far longer than the one given. I'm an armed Officer that works in the city and needed a sizeable sling to wrap around my body while wearing my armor. There is no doubt the sling given is far shorter than shown in the picture, as it hardly makes the trip around my body, without armor on. I will use it until I find a suitable replacement.

I want to start by saying that so far I love this bag. I purchased this sling bag because it met my requirements. #1 American Made #2 Size #3 Color/Quality. When I received the bag I was impressed by the material and the stitching. What was missing was any indication of where it came from. I mean nothing… anywhere. I received a quick response from Rootless assuring me that it was American made. Their website says nothing.I always look for it and always ask for it.For this price tag I will probably hold onto it but I am still looking for someone willing to brag a little about their manufacturing.This would easily be 5 stars if anywhere it said where it was made.

The exterior material grade / interior material grade and plastic lining aren't that high quality, with the interior stitching made from China when the materials definitely should be top marks heavy duty grade. China make these small backpack way to small, be definitely much larger more spacious pockets & interiors to 16" high by 15" wide. In why I wasn't happy period sending this back for this product which definitely China could do top of the line Exterior Materials / Interior Materials, Plastic Lining or Complete Interior Material, top grade stitching with no extra threading ends, be much larger more spacious pockets & interiors to 16" high by 15" wide.

The clasp for the strap sits nearly on top of the shoulder, which is not comfortable. The bungee strap on the top section arrived broken.
