I've had this chair for two years, and it is still holding up
I am a very large person, and I have had this chair for over two years (and recently bought a second for my boyfriend's place,) and the frame is still as sturdy as ever. This is definitely the sturdiest shower chair that I've ever encountered (and I've bought A LOT of shower chairs over the years.) I will say, though, that the plastic that makes up the seat is a little slippery, so if you or your loved one is a fall risk, you should put a towel down on the seat to prevent sliding. The chair's biggest fault, though, is that the plastic seat isn't as sturdy as the frame. The screws are starting to push through the plastic on my two year old chair. Still, though, two years is way longer than any other shower chair has ever lasted. It will definitely hold a 600 pound person.

Very study and safe! Couldn't be happier with this purchase!
I purchased this to replace another shower chair whose leg buckled under while I was sitting on it and caused me to fall. This item cost me a little bit more than many of the others I looked at but now that I've been using it for the past week, it was definitely worth the extra $$'s! This chair is solidly built and the design is much safer than many of the others I looked at, and I don't think there's any way these legs will buckle out from under me! The seat surface is a bit larger, more of a square shape, and flat (rather than rounding up a little on the sides), and the way the legs are assembled on it distribute the weight and balance of it very well. The design of the seat also allows me to sit on it either with the chair back behind me or to the side if I want to sit and let the hot water run directly on sore areas of my back. The other chair always had me feeling a bit unstable on it but this one is totally solid and I feel much safer on it. Plus, all the connections have bolts in them rather than the butterfly fittings that have to keep being tightened. The entire chair seat bottom came fully assembled and all I had to do was slide the bars for the seat back into the tubes until they clicked into place. The height is easy to adjust and I couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Strong Bathroom Shower Chair
I needed a stronger bath chair for my 300 lb husband since our last one broke. This chair purchased is very sturdy and holds him well. The seat is also wider than last one we had which is nice and I bought one with a back this time. Hubby is very comfortable taking a shower now. Shipping was fast and it was a snap to put together. So far we have had for a while now and the chair is still sturdy as ever - no buckling at all. This was money well spent here.UPDATE: 2020 We have had this bath chair now for almost 2 1/2 years. It is still holding up very well. NO rust stops from the shower, the legs are holding up well, and the screws are still holding strong. The chair seat is white and it has discolored a bit, even after bleaching. However, that is because my granddaughter decided to color it with makeup one day (lipstick, eye mascara, etc.) The lipstick color did fade quite a bit but there is still a hint of pink on the chair. Otherwise, the chair is great.

Exceptional Shower Chair *updated*
This shower chair replaced a far less sturdy and comfortable backless shower stool. The chair feels rock solid in our shower. This supports my obese frame perfectly and is remarkably comfortable and stable. I didn't think having a back would make a difference but it has been night and day compared to the old backless shower stool. Very happy with the purchase.*Update*The original chair purchased nearly two years ago continues to function flawlessly. It works so well and we were so impressed with the bench we just took delivery of a second one for our other bathroom that's being remodeled. Even though the contractor offered to build in a bench seat I decided I'd much rather have this bench I can not only move around the shower as I need I can also easily raise and lower it should I or someone else need the seat at a different height. I do wish the manufacturer would update the product images. although it's really no big deal the product images have for years now shown the bench having blue feet when in reality the feet it comes with are a darkish grey. That honestly not being of consequence the bench is incredibly sturdy and comfortably. So much so we were willing to buy a second one.

I like this bench, but....
This is clearly the most comfortable bench I've ever purchased, and I would recommend it highly to anyone who needs that extra sturdiness. The only problem is that one of the adjustable legs keeps coming out of the hole and nearly tipping me over when I least expect it. The problem is that the despressible bolt doesn't clear the hole completely like the other 3 legs and keeps popping out. I've "popped it back in" many times so far and it keeps popping out.

Very Strong Chair
I am not a bariatric, but I am not small. (About 6'2" and 190lbs). I found that normal shower chairs would not last a year before the screws ripped out of the bottom of the seat and the legs bent and splayed. I bought this one after my previous chair totally collapsed on me in the shower. I've had this one a couple of months and I think a gorilla could use it safely. The seat is large which I find very helpful when I move around in it. I don't feel like I could easily come off of it like I have with other chairs. The downside is that it has a larger footprint than most shower chairs so it may not fit in a typical tub. I use it in a shower that is installed in the place of standard bathtub and it barely fits in it. The only thing I would add to this chair would be hand grips of some sort on the sides of the seat. Great chair.

DON’T pay for assembly!! Sturdy Product!
I just set this up for my father. It looks very sturdy. He is 280 pounds, but the 300lb capacity chairs were collapsing under him. This comes in 2 pieces. The bench part is one piece, and the seat back is another. It slides into a slot and secures with the same mechanism used to adjust the legs. It’s super simple to put together and took only about a minute or two. Don’t pay for expert assembly. It just isn’t worth it with as easy as that was. The only thing I am confused about is a plastic piece on one of the legs that looks like it snaps into something, but the Amazon post does not show it or mention it nor is there any paperwork in the box that talks about the product. Photo of piece included. The only paper in the box advertises for other safety/ medical equipment offered by this company.
