Yes it does have magnified sound for those of us who have hearing loss, but when using it on speaker phone, the person on the other end sounds like there is interference or static unless I mute my phone. I bought it to use when I work from home, and I need to ne handsfree to use my computer and talk on the phone. I'm pretty disappointed with that issue. The setup was easy and adding additional handsets is simple. It doesn't have a visible light when you have a voicemail. You have to look at one of the handset screens to see that.

dB Amplification is for moderate hearing loss, not severe loss.I have mixed reviews reviews about this phone. I received two, one has better amplification then the 2nd one. The other one I might as will not even amplify or have speakerphone ability.

My mother was disappointed she could not hear any better. She has a Clarity phone, but it became hard for to hear. So reason I purchased the severe Clarity phone...

The phone arrived at a reasonable time and box was in good condition. HOWEVER, I ordered this because it showed two phones and when I received it, I only got one. Somewhere in the description it should mention this because a pic of 2 phones is misleading.

They came when expected and have fulfilled every expectation and are clear and loud enough for me to hear without any problem.

This phone barely makes the sound louder than a regular phone. Sound quality changes if the phone tilts, adding crackling and static to the line. Disappointed overall.
