Columbia Women's Ember Springs Long Down Jacket

I am notoriously cold all the time--in any climate. This coat is the best thing that's ever happened to me. It is stylish and comfortable to wear, but most importantly, it is SO WARM compared to any other coat I've owned (including other Columbia coats). People who are used to me being the one who whines about the cold became the whiny ones while I walked comfortably in breezy 11F weather beside a large, ice-covered body of water. The fabric is quality, and the down it encases makes this coat feel like a luxurious comforter/furless Cruella DeVille cloak. I LOVE THIS COAT.The only "complaint" I can give: Don't call it a "security pocket" if it's just a little sideways pocket with a tiny Velcro square for closure. Not very secure. Not big enough to fit my wallet or phone. Not comfortable placement for keys.

I went back and forth between this one and one from NorthFace. I love this one! It is really well made and super warm. There are chest pockets and lower pockets that are all fleece lined. That makes a big difference. The hood is fleeced as well. It is long and fluffy but somehow doesn’t look too frumpy. I am so impressed with the quality. I normally get a large in coats because I want to layer underneath. But the medium was quite a bit cheaper. I ordered medium and it is a great size and can still fit with lots of layers.

Very warm in cold Michigan weather and snow but hard to zip up

I loved it as soon as I put it on. I'm a size 8 and it looks great, plenty of room but not too big. Nice and warm and well made.

The coat does not fit like the size chart and the zipper doesn't work properly.

This jacket is perfect for brutal winters in Chicago. It's long which helps keep the chill from sneaking under the jacket. It's also super warm and stylish. It's a puffer jacket but isn't big and bulky like a lot of other puffers. It's made by Columbia and the quality is on point!

I’ve waited all winter to find a flattering and warm coat, love this!I’m 5’4, medium build, broad shoulders, 36B and I bought a medium coat and can comfortably wear a thick knitted sweater dress.

I bought this jacket as gift to my niece, a college student in Champaign IL. I am glad I got this jacket. It is comfortable, well insulted and good looking. My niece like it very much

Warm, reasonably stylish (it's a down coat, after all) with some nice features - deep, lined pockets, warmly-lined hood, two-way zipper, attractive outer snaps. I am 5'8" with short torso/long arms and legs, and I often have a problem with sleeves being too short -- they're perfect on this coat in a size Medium. I also like how the outer shell fabric isn't the shiny, thin kind often found on down jackets and coats, because in my experience, this type of fabric tears easily and is prone to allowing inner feathers to shed. My one caveat, and it's common on Columbia jackets/coats - the drawstring waist-adjuster. Please, Columbia, get rid of this and add buttons or some other method of adjusting the waist -- like Obermeyer and Helly Hansen do -- this is a cheap, awkward feature on an otherwise well-designed coat.

Great coat

It's not even a month that I have been wearing this, the feathers have already started coming out..This jacket is not even warm..I don't recommend..
