This, in my opinion, is not for beginners. I am, as the user of a simpler, less aggressive, razor, until I bought this, almost over my head with this. BUT! I have learned to go slower, sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, and am learning to handle this razor well, and on the mid lower settings, I am finally really learning to shave. It was scary fast the first time. I thought I knew how to use a razor. And, to a degree, I did.This is not a complaint. These things happen when we grow up, at whatever age we end up growing up at. I am absolutely fascinated with this razor, what it can do, and what I am learning to do with it. No nicks the last few shaves, if still some serious skin burn. That is my fault, improvements are coming. This is a brave new shaver. I am enjoying the thrill. If you don't like challenges and risks, and what comes from those, find a slower, easier, razor. At least to learn on.I suppose you could learn on this one, but it might test your nerve, and skin. Some like it hot. I am glad I bumbled into a slow starter razor (if completely by accident) with which to learn, then turned up the speed with this. There might be faster razors out there, but this might well take your breath away as you realize just what it can do.Oh, be careful with the butterfly system. Opening it a bit while twitching in the first few shaves can make it go from racy to nasty. Live and learn. I didn't do any damage, if I nearly had to clean up a mess when... just... be careful. Still, I do love this razor. I am hoping, by the end of the year, to be able to go full monty with this. I can't quite get baby bottom clean, but very near it. Not that I actually know what a baby bottom is like, hoping it isn't exactly like this? But it is amazing how clean this really gets it, just not quite perfect, yet. I legitimately regret this purchase.

Not all beards require the same angle of attack or are easy to shave, I purchased this to replace my old 1960's adjustable Gillette safety razor. It is a bit longer, and heavier, so it is easier to control. I use it at the 1.5 setting since my beard goes every which way and is hard to shave, not a snag or a nick right out of the box, this is a great product.I did not give it a five star since the full opening does not allow the blade to be loaded directly from the dispenser easily, it does not seem to open as wide as the old Gillette used to, otherwise, flawless.

I was surprised by the smooth shave I received. The weight feels great. It has a high quality look and feel, the adjustment feature is invaluable.

I'm using this light on my ebike. It is certainly bright and has headlight and flashing modes. Easy to remove and reinstall for charging. I've recharged this light several times now and it does take several hours to fully charge. I normally run it for a total of 4 - 5 hours and then charge it. I like the BikeSpark brand and use their tail light as well (the tail light doesn't take nearly as long to charge). I would recommend.
