A bit misleading!
Beautiful yarn, gorgeous colours but was disappointed as the details said chunky yarn when I ordered it but when it arrived it's double knit. Can't use it for the hat and snood my grand daughter wanted though as the pattern she picked is chunky. Still I will use it for something. Won't be wasted!

It's very soft, softer then cotton & softer the most acrylic Yarns I work with.I'd say it's more of a cotton blend from the way it burns, as you can see by my pictures, but it's not 100% cotton, of it was fully acrylic it would make a brown gloopy mess, which it doesn't. It has the same thickness as cotton yarns though.Seems to be colour fast from a quick test with warm water. Haven't tried soap/washing powder yet.Will be great for smaller projects I like making, like crochet keyrings, or some small knitted items, I will buy more, looks like it would be nice for larger projects, as it looks like it would have a nice drape to it, but it would be costly, even to make a summer shawl. Definitely soft enough for chunky socks.

GREAT FOR WHAT I NEEDED IT FOR
I do crochet but I also make things like hugs in pockets and bookmarks so needed it more for sewing/ tapestry/embroidery etc. I love working with this wool . The hugs in pockets I make free of charge for people to send to loved ones are very popular as you can hand wash the product even in disinfectant. They are very popular due to the brightness of the colors and the texture. Certainly the elderly in nursing homes love getting them from their family member. The wool can also split unexpectedly which can sometimes be a problem but it can also be split into single threads if needed. I don't think it would be good for knitting with but I crochet and sew with it.

crochets up well
This product colours are good and make a lovely cover. The only thing that is annoying is that within a ball there can be a few joins. These knots have to be cut out and the wool has been to rejoined.

Not cotton!!!
This is not cotton!! It feels like chenille or nylon. Not suitable for Projects requiring cotton yarn.
