LindtLINDOR 60% Extra Dark Chocolate Truffles, 5.1 Ounce (Pack of 6)

I was amazed that this shipment survived a cross-country trip without melting. All six bags arrived with a verifiable freshness date that was good for another 9 months or more. The outer shells were intact without the discoloration caused by melting and the fluid chocolate centers were well contained within each dark chocolate shell. This is a very tasty batch of truffles.

First of all, a confession. I love chocolate and I knew I loved this candy before I ordered these. These are Dark Chocolate crisp shells with smooth, melt-in-your-mouth Dark Chocolate centers. I ordered this multi-pack of bags of truffles, so I could have them anytime! The price was good, shipping was prompt, and the items arrived in excellent condition.Only two drawbacks. One you will probably eat lots of chocolate if you order these, and two, if you have other chocolate-lovers in your home like I do, they will disappear far too quickly!

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I didn't believe the comments that many left saying that these arrived old and stale, well my bad because that's exactly what I received and worse. The really bad thing about them besides being old stale stock is they are not returnable. I'd be a bit more calm about this if I could have. So now I'm stuck with 6 bags of white-coated, stale and tasteless chocolates and I'm out the money as well. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID

I so love 60% dark chocolate truffles. This is such a perfect taste, hard on the outside and soft would not in the inside. The only reason why it lost a star for me is because when I bought it, it was half the current price, so around $15 for this pack. Unfortunately, the current price is no longer Prime eligible/protected, and is more than twice the bought price.I have to admit, Kirkland does have a type of dark chocolate truffle this is similar in bitterness and yumminess to Lindor for a fraction of the price, but Lindor is giftable. It is a well-known brand, and the wrapping is superb and recognizable. In fact, for holidays like Christmas, my sister would just buy a huge pack of Lindor chocolate on sale to gift. For all the flavors, though, the 60% dark chocolate taste the best for my taste buds. I love how it is slightly sweet with a hint of bitterness, softness, mixed with crunchiness.The package arrived in good shape with an ice pack, which is a perk of Prime delivery. I cannot speak to the delivery of the third party sellers as I did not get these from them. I will wait until these go on sale again for my next haul, and as always, 60% dark chocolate is the magic number!

These chocolates have a wonderful rich flavor and the crunch of the outer shell contrasts nicely with the softer center.I would caution anyone who orders this to wait until the winter, as the box of chocolate I received was a gooey mess in spite of insulated bag and chill pack. I have ordered chocolate from others who shipped in Styrofoam with chill packs and had no problem at all.

These are not like the ones I buy in the stores - they seem to have an extra amount of wax.

One thing that may bother some customers is the eye appeal - it appears these truffles may have been refrigerated or frozen to keep them fresh and the chocolate looks cloudy, some are even cracked.Nothing is wrong with them, however.....to be certain I had to try quite a few more than my usual two after dinner.....they all checked out perfectly.

Lindor Truffles are the best chocolate I have run across in a long time. I am hooked on the dark chocolate as a mainstay, but the 60% dark chocolate is also excellent. It is just that the dark chocolate truffles are a little sweeter, which my taste buds like better. As I am sitting here writing this review, I am popping the dark chocolate truffles. My taste buds are dancing!!!
