Sennheiser Consumer Audio PXC 550-II Wireless Bluetooth Over the Ear Headphone with Mic (Black)

This is one of the best headphones I used so far in terms of comfort, convenience, clarity, better etc. Pros: These are the lightest of the lot and sits perfectly over your ears and maintains low profile on your head. Touch works perfectly fine Auto turn on/off is the best feature which I don’t think any other headphones offer Connects to your phones instantly as you put them on your head It also has multi connectivity wherein you can connect 2 devices at once Mic is the best among all the headphones out there in the market even including momentum 4 (I am using currently) Batter backup is good enough and gets me through the week on single charge Sound clarity is not the best but may satisfy most ears. It has crystal clear sound and audible bass not the thumping/ear vibrating bass which Sony headphones offer Sound stage is decent enough for closed headphones and way better than Sony’s headphones (I tried xm3,4 and xb900n) I had to replace earcups after more than an year usage (I am a power user. Most of the time you’ll fine them on my head) Cons: Micro USB for charging is a big NO. Wish they had type-C for charging Carry case is bad. Just serves the purpose but not meant for rough usage Wish it has more bass to it. Momentum 4 solves this issue of bass but it has its own negatives (I’d pick PXC 550 II if given option as I got them for 17k and Momentum 4 for 35k so pretty much double the cost and that’s only for bass and better noise cancellation. Not worth and not needed) Noise cancelling is almost a joke for these headphones. It is good at cancelling low frequency noises but not the actual chatter and everything Conclusion: Sound clarity ✅ Mic quality ✅ Comfort ✅ Convenience ✅ Connectivity ✅ Batter backup ✅ Looks and build quality ✅ Brand ✅ App for equaliser ✅ Ear vibrating bass❌ Type C for charging ❌ Noise cancellation ❌ So it totally depends on what you need. How to convey a product is really bad in both design and utility. I am shocked that this is rated 4.2 by anybody. It’s near impossible. You have to twist one ear phone to make it switch on ! Common who designed it in a fragile headset. Secondly what’s with constant switching between devices. What’s with the Bluetooth. Finally Amazon why don’t you let me return it and buy good old Bose. Why have you become like Flipkart ? It’s the one reason I shifted from Flipkart 13 years back and never went back. You don’t like the product you return it. This product sucks outright. I have no word for it. Sound quality is poor and it’s zero value for money. Simply do not buy. I have bought other Sennhiser products. This one is not good. Period.

Damaged product kindly refund

I got this an a replacement for Sennheiser PXC550 2 which stopped working within 14 months and this replacement stopped working within 6 months. Seems like in India they sell only refurbished products. Absolutely pathetic state.

TL;DR Great grab if they are on sale (which just seems to be the regular price now, maybe they are releasing a new model with USB-C?) They sound fantastic, ANC good, mic is great for business calls or school. Okay so there are a few things about these headphones that I don't like, I will list those first: No power button frustrates me more than I assumed it would, the build quality is good (and I bang my electronics around) but there are a few things like, the pivot of the cups, which you use to turn them off is plastic on plastic, that feel a little subpar.(Like injection mold lines) These cup pivots will smooth over time but I feel like some sort of washer would have come in handy there. But my MAIN complaint is a software one, the mic doesn't work in stereo mode, I will explain as this is important. I wanted a pair of headphones first, with good sound quality with a close second being a half-decent microphone for all the zoom calls I have been doing. While it does have a fantastic mic compared to most over-ear headphones, they have two sound profiles: Stereo and Hands-Free Audio. ANY time you are using the mic the headphones go into 'Hands-free audio' mode, which has noticeably worse sound quality. This is explained by the fact that you shouldn't need the mic and the stereo quality sound at the same time, for me this was just an annoying inconvenience. <- this is the reason the sound quality got 4/5 and not 5/5. Stereo sound quality 5/5 I bought these on sale for $279CAN, if I'd paid full price $449CAN these negative would bug me A LOT more. The negative aside, these headphones are great!. They sound amazing, with very good clarity, and separation. ANC works well, not super good with higher pitches but from what I understand all ANC headphones fall a bit short in that department. They are also incredibly comfortable and light. I've heard people complain about ambient mode not working WHILE playing music, but as a regular commuter, I can honestly say I don't understand why you would want that feature. If you need ambient on you should be listening actively, so you don't need music..and if it's a safety risk, take your damn headphones off. No USB C is an odd choice but the fast-charging works fine, a full charge from 0% in 3 hours. I've always been a headphone person, and I would buy decent headphones but this is my first high-quality headphones and I'm quite impressed.

The headphones are great, good sound quality, good noise cancelling and good battery life. However, my pair of headphones came with the problem that every now and then, the Bluetooth would not work at all, it will simply create static making it impossible to use, I tried fixing it by connecting and disconnecting it, turning it on and off, checking the app to see if I could update it or do something. The problem I had could be from one in a million faulty items, but that is the experience I got.

Comprei e tive problemas com um lado não funcionar direito, pesquisei e vi que é bem comum nesse modelo que um lado pare de funcionar depois de um tempo. Além disso, o modelo do fone tenta ligar quando se vira a parte das caixas de som, isso faz com que em movimentos mais rápidos com o fone ele ligue e desligue pausando a música e sendo meio incomodo. Eu vi estes avisos mais em comentários gringos e achei que pudesse ser algo mais pontual, mas aparentemente é um problema recorrente do modelo. Não foi uma boa experiência ou que valesse o valor do fone.

Do not buy these headphones! The firmware update which fixes a huge number of fundamental issues with this model does not install from the sennheiser app, which is the only way to get the update. I've included a screenshot showing all of the fixes it brings to show how much doesn't work properly with that firmware. I have contacted Sennheiser support, but had no response. Having had the original version for years and loved them, I am gutted these are soo bad. I'm returning the item, but now have to pay for the return postage myself. Do no buy unless they sort out the firmware issue, you have been warned. Edit - Sennheiser have apparently fixed the bug in the app preventing the firmware update.

Tienen una gran calidad, superaron mis expectativas, muy con figurables desde la aplicación del fabricante desde móviles, la duración de la batería magnifica, la calidad de los materiales se siente excelente. A 2 años de su compra le he sacado bastante provecho. *La cancelación de ruido es muy buena. *Calidad de sonido increíble. *la batería completa me sigue durando 1 semana usándolos unas 3-4 horas por día. *Los bajos son muy básicos. *Son muy cómodos y no te hacen sudar tanto las orejas como otros que he probado de gama similar, no esperaba menos de esta marca.
