Better alternative to old Merrell Glove
So far so good on my first hike. My vapor gloves were so worn out they almost had a hole. The added grip and protection doesn’t compromise the feel. Very spacious in the toes and it feels more comfortable than the old trail gloves in my opinion. Got a half size larger and they feel great. No blisters. Great feel of the road. They have an insole you can take out (they made it so there is no stitching for this purpose) of leave it in. Very happy I found these and I don’t think I’ll be buying Merrells again. It’s been rough since the trail glove 5 and 6 came out with that high arch and pulling of your foot. Hopefully the material lasts on the top of the shoe (I saw a review here where if didn’t - but all products have a small percentage of flawed/broken products due to manufacturing. The bottom of the shoe has a 5,000 mile warranty so they expect it to last.

I can trust my feet again to make good decisions!
I saw a promotional video on these shoes, and thought 'yeah, right' because I've been disappointed in shoes so many times. I have hammertoes and neuromas, so I just expect shoes to be uncomfortable, but the concept of 'simulated barefoot' makes sense. The first pair was too small - make sure you order at least a size larger than you usually do.I ended up with men's shoes because the women's sizes were not big enough. And I did add a Dr. Scholl's air-pocket insole to give a little more resilience/paddingBut, once I got these two things correct, these are some awesome shoes. The fit is like no shoe I've ever had, a luxury of space for my toes, and the cleat-grip makes them very secure.I feel like I can trust my feet again to make 'good decisions'.Very few shoes are 'worth the money' these days, but these are.

Great and more durable than competitor alternatives
I have been using similar shoes from other notable brands. While these other options were good, they would only last 4-6 months of my hiking and disc golf routine. These shoes have already lasted me 9 months and are not quite at the end of their use. If you get tired of buying these type of "minimalist" shoes constantly give these a try.

Three day rainy mountain hike = pleasure!
These Xero trail shoes hug my feet so softly and snugly, on day 3 of the hike after 24 hours of soaking rain, we woke up to wet shoes, socks and cloths. I foregone my socks and put my new Xeros on. End of day - no chafes, no pain, no blisters. Feet feel so good I could take my shoes off and easily walk barefoot for a few miles. I own four Zero pairs and these are highly recommended! The fit is a bit small as I got size 11.5 and my usual is 10.5-11. Fit was perfect.

Loved them until they broke
They do run quite small. I normally wear a Men's 7, I had to order these in an 8.5. Once I got the proper size I loved them; so comfortable and had amazing traction for my short hikes. However, I wore them a total of 8 times and 24 miles when one of the lace loops broke. And the break is so even you can tell it is due to poor construction and the loop not being secured properly rather than the nylon tearing. These are not cheap shoes and I love all the other Xero styles I own (3 pair), so it is a real shame they are made so poorly. Returning for a refund, so disappointed.

Perfect shoe.
I ordered a half a size larger like the other reviews recommended, got a perfect fit. Tested them out at my state park, and ran 7 miles partially in the rain. The shoes had great traction with mud, rocks, roots, etc..., and felt great. I can attest the toe is tough, it took a few roots head-on. Not even a scuff. I have a lot of experience with barefoot shoes, so I would recommend taking it slow to give your feet time to strengthen up, then let it rip.

High arch? narrow feet? this is not the shoe for you
too wide of box for my feet. Shoe feels good when walking but if you have an arch (mines high) & narrow feet the box of this shoe will not fit you. I like the shoe a lot but can't wear it after a couple weeks. It's too big across my toes.

Favorite shoes
I admit, at this point I have accumulated 4 pairs of Xero shoes, because they are amazing. They feel great on the feet, breathe well, have durable soles, and look good.Whenever I wear a different shoe, and then go back to a pair of Xero’s, the Xero’s always feel perfect; like how a shoe ought to be

Very comfortable
These are very comfortable. I have been wearing them for a couple of weeks. I’m still dubious about their lasting durability when I walk a lot of miles a day, but so far so good.

Poor quality
I have had these for a few weeks and haven't even run in them yet, and yet they are already starting to fall apart. The sole has already begun to come apart at the front...
