My partner has T1D. Every time he ended up with a foot wound, we ended up in wound care at Kaiser and he would come home with a similar product on his foot. Of course they never sent us home with extras to use to change it in between visits (it needed to be changed every 5-7 days, his appointments were 2+ weeks apart) and we would have to do whatever we could in between. Then I found these... These silicone contact layers are a miracle for us. They are so easy to use, keep the wound dry with all of the air flow (and allow for drainage if there's any fluids), and stay perfectly in place the entire time! Now that we have these, I am able to treat most of the wounds at home and get accolades from his podiatrist for how much better things are going. They also seem to accelerate the healing time by keeping the wound clean, dry, and off the ground by adding that protective layer. I not only recommend these, I swear by them!

I used this on my 78 year old father. He has extremely delicate skin. He had a scratch from a dog and this really helped him heal up quickly. It didn’t irritate his skin at all. It also stayed on for about 3 days before we changed it. I highly recommend this to anyone with any cut, abrasions, lacerations, etc. It is a perfect size too!

This non-adhering wound dressing is amazing. After it is placed according to directions, a Telfa type secondary layer is applied, then a wrap such as Coban is applied (but not too tight) afterwards. The Dimora Wound Contact silicone layer does not have to be removed for 3-5 days, but I do check the secondary dressing daily during the first few days of the skin tear; and if there is drainage, carefully remove the Telfa and apply a new one (which should be larger than the silicone layer. You can receive more detailed instructions on-line. I am very impressed with the Dimora silicone wound contact layer... it's much better than what I was using; and what I used to use in the Wound Clinic when I worked for vascular surgeons several years ago. It's the perfect solution for protecting an open wound so that a nonstick gauze pad does not stick to it.

Skeptical, but now a believer! Was very worried about placing this on a raw skin tear, but it was such a good decision to try this product. It stays fresh and in place, yet peels off with no resistance whatsoever! I kept the wound protected with an antibiotic cream, placed the silicone bandage on top, then an absorbent one on top of that. Once the wound was no longer “leaking,” I continued with a healing ointment and topped with just the silicone bandage. The air holes help to heal quickly and it’s so comfortable. I’ve recommended to others. Only negative, it’s pricey.

These work really well. My husband ripped the skin on his arm and had an open wound the size of a quarter. He was using large bandaids but the wound was not healing at all. I researched bandaids that would not stick to the wound. I wasn't sure what to do with these when I opened the box and read the instructions. They are perforated silicone squares that go over the wound. I applied some antibiotic ointment to the wound, placed the silicone layer over it and then wrapped some gauze over it and taped the gauze. The wound after 3 days is almost completely healed. I'm pretty amazed. Definitely recommend.

I had skin tears on hand and elbow from a fall. This silicone wound cover held the skin flaps in place for 2+ weeks while the wounds healed. It allowed dressing changes without disturbing the wounded skin, and easy observation for signs of infection. The dressing only sticks to intact skin, so it can be lifted and repositioned if necessary. Water doesn’t loosen it, and tiny air holes seem to allow an excellent environment for wound healing. It’s a game-changer for me.
