These did help with keeping my mouth closed for most of the night. As the night progressed they seemed to lose their strength. But I wouldn't like them if there was more adhesive on them. Another negative was the smell after first opening the package. There is a very strong odor of plastic or latex? I had to take them out of the package and let them air out for a couple of days before I could use them. I tried using them the first night after receiving them but the odor was too strong. Unfortunately for me they did not stop me from snoring, but they may help others. However, my mouth isn't dry in the am and I am breathing thru my nose when I do wear them for the night. That is a plus them so I may purchase them again. Not sure at this point, still looking at other options.

I read that these used to be beige before I started using them. PLEASE BRING THOSE BACK! One of the question responses said the company changed the color based on customer feedback, which I sincerely doubt. Who would ASK for the color that would draw the most attention to their face as humanly possible?? It does stop my snoring and I’m thankful for that. I’ll be using them on a flight to Australia soon. I’ll give 5 stars when I can buy the beige ones and the color doesn’t scream “Look at me, I snore!”

This miracle product completely stopped my snoring. I had previously tried some tape suitable for skin, which I put on my mouth vertically. It worked too but it really hurt my lips while removing it in particular. I was so excited to find this one that doesn’t touch my lips! And while my lips were fine and untouched, this myotape hurt the skin around my mouth when I removed it. Unlike my lips which felt better within an hour with the drugstore skin tape, the myotape left the sides and above-the-lip area pink and irritated for a day. I wanted to love the myotape so much that I tried reusing the worn/used one I had tried last night for a second go. I figured it would be less sticky. It was less sticky and still stayed on! It didn’t hurt when I removed it! However, because it had already been stretched out and worn, the tightening effect did not occur so I snored all night. I’m going to try the papery skin tape again in a vertical strip but with a piece stuck to it where my lips are and hope for better luck. I did read you can use the myotape after putting moisturizer on your face, so I will be trying this once more after applying the thicker type cerave moisturizer. If it works or doesn’t work, I’ll update this because I was so happy not to snore and so want this to work.

Like this better than other tape. Keeps mouth shut but allows for sip of water at night. Does not irritate mouth area after repeated use.

I have been using these strips for 6 months and have tested out some other brands as well. What I find superior with the Myotape is the "O" design which allows me to easily have a drink of water at night when needed. I keep a travel mug filled with water on my bedside and when used with a straw, the "O" design easily allows me to take a sip, go back to sleep, and not worry about removing/reapplying the strip.I do find when I wake up the corners of the strip have peeled a bit off, but not to the point where it is ineffective. To be honest, I've noticed this happened with the other products I tested, so it could be the due to the way I sleep.Overall, I would recommend this product.

They do what they are supposed to do, for me anyway. But why the obnoxious blue color? and why is the adhesive so much stickier? I can use one for 3 nights in a row. I guess it's nice to save a buck but Yuck

The idea for this product is truly brilliant. You stretch it about 30% and apply around the mouth and then when it shrinks down it gently holds your mouth closed to help promote nasal breathing. But you can still talk or open your mouth, so it’s perfect for anyone with anxiety about taping their mouth closed, anyone who might need to talk for any reason during the night (parents of young kids, caretakers of older parents or disabled relatives, anyone on call during the night for a work, etc), or if you have nasal congestion and aren’t sure if you will be able to successfully breathe nasally through the whole night. Because of the elastic nature of the product I find it far superior to just using regular micro pore medical tape, which really doesn’t have any stretch to it.However, and this is a big however, after two nights the tape made my skin irritated, red, and painful. Now it’s healing, but the skin is scaly and still a bit red. And this was even after I dulled the tape’s stickiness ahead of time by sticking it on and peeling it off a piece of clothing to pick up some fibers. So sadly, I don’t think I will be able to continue to use Myotape. This product might work for those with tougher skin, but I really hope they will come out with a product for those of us whose skin doesn’t respond well to the strong adhesive used.
