over a year of use!
i bought these last year in late july 2021, not expecting a whole lot but really interested in the eco friendliness of the sponge and packaging. we finally had the last one from the SAME package bite the dust a few weeks ago in late september 2022! one package lasted us over year of use!! unfortunately, my boyfriend went out and got the green and yellow "normal" ones without my knowing and we've already been through two of those sponges in less than a month!i'm super impressed with just how well these hold up to moisture and grime. giving these 5 stars for durability is genuinely a massive understatement, i wish i could give 10! they don't grow mold or get that weird musty smell, they stay looking clean for a very long time and wash out easily. i've put them through my dishwasher on the top shelf and they've held together for a very long time. they also stay slightly spongey when dry vs the "normal" green/yellow ones that get hard as a rock as they dry out. the top scrubber is harder working than most of those green scrubby pads! i think the only reason we've had to toss them is that the scrubby part does eventually separate from the sponge part (i don't care but for some reason my boyfriend does) or they get irreparably damaged from something crazy like paint.normally, i would say who cares about a sponge but these really are out here being both eco-friendly and also NOT garbage! the opposite of garbage! better than the usual!

Great sustainable sponges
These sponges work just like a regular sponge! They are pretty big in size, but are regular size in height. The bristles are a little tougher than a regular sponge, but start to become just as flexible and durable just like regular ones. Happy I found these!

Great durability and really compostable
These sponges are great. I love them. They last longer than I expected. After using them every day to wash my dishes, I discard them when they become too dirty, not because they wear out. And they are truly biodegradable: I put them in my homemade compost bin, powered by earthworms, and they disappear quickly. I really love them, this is the second time I ordered them and I will keep ordering them again

Last a While, Good Scrubbing!
These last a while and scrub well. They get a funky scent like any sponge does. They can break down on the sponge side, but usually towards the end of their life anyways and at about the same time a regular sponge would.

Very good!
I hand wash all my dishes, so I need a good sponge. These came in 100% plastic free packaging, and they work wonderful. They're a little stiffer then regular synthetic sponges and a tad bigger but they work just fine at getting at dried, crusty food. I worry as in the tough side there is little wood chips engrained in the overall scrubber and while squeezing or overall manipulating the sponge they can can stick you or scratch but hey its a small price to pay for being biodegradable :)

finally a natural sponge that doesn't just fall apart
These are great. Lasts for several weeks before getting too gross to continue. All other natural sponges that I've tried start falling apart after 1-2 washes.

More environmentally friendly though not as long lasting
We really like these sponges. They are a little stiff at first but break in quickly. They don't last as long as traditional sponges with a scrubber side, but we're ok with that as these are compostable and appear to be better for the environment.

Good sponges, but still contain polyester.
The sponges themselves are fine and do what you need them to do.The scouring pad looked like non woven polyester with a bit of coconut fiber blended in. I did a burn test, and the pad partly burns to ash (the coconut parts I'm guessing), but also leaves behind an obvious melted portion with the distinct burning plastic smell, confirming my suspicions that there is some type of synthetic fiber present. This tends to be the case with many coconut fiber scouring pads, and it's usually *recycled polyester*. My issue is that the packaging indicates that the sponges are "100% biodegradable" but I think they did a little rounding up with those claims, which is disappointing because I wanted to go with something 100% plastic free.Anyway, subtracting a star for the questionable claims, and a star for the price per sponge. If you want to go plastic free, just find some basic cellulose sponges, and buy a silicone brush or cut up a loofah to replace the scouring pad.

Kaufempfehlung!
