Great product!
I usually get my aged miso from South River Miso at my organic supermarket but recently there has been a supply problem so I decided to look into Amazon and found this. I am glad I gave this a try as it is just as good, and the company seem to have other products which are raw and unpasturized which I will definite give them all a try. I try to use as much unfermented products as much as possible and this company seems to have quite a good selection. Their website is much better with better choices. So far I have tried their shoyu which i also gave a 5 star rating.

Great miso.
It was my first time to try this barley miso, I was not dissapointed, though I wish it was more of it. I use it with Hokkaido kombu to make broth for miso ramen, very tasty, complex flavor! I think I will come back to it, just finish a jar, but have a pound of red miso now, will see how it compare. Recommended.

My first red miso. Like it better than the white one. Will have to purchase some barley koji and try making it myself as this is a bit pricey for the rate I have been devouring it.

Little salty
I really expected barley mild miso but it was a bit salty for me. Also the container is not easy to use for daily miso-soup.
