Great for connecting to projectors.
I give presentations to my local computer club. They have a projector mounted on the ceiling. An HDMI cable runs down the wall to the front desk. I plug this device into my laptop and the HDMI cable into the other end. It's perfect! Just one caution: this adapter has the smaller holes for the small pin HDMI cables. I found out the hard way when I was at a different location where the HDMI had large pins and wouldn't fit into this adapter.

Very annoying. Never had this problem with any other adapters ...
Using this on a MacBook Pro. It works, but my monitor goes blank for about five seconds every 5 minutes. Very annoying. Never had this problem with any other adapters I have used on this machine. Not recommended.Lowering my review to one star. Problems just keep getting worse. Keeps disconnecting from computer and needs to be disconnected and plugged back in. Waste of money.

Dead out of the box, no answer from customer service
I got a dud right out of the box. I tried this adapter or 3 different surface pro's and 1 Macbook and got no video at all. When trying a different brand adapter on the same machines, they all worked, so the issue is definitely with this specific adapter. I tried contacting support for the device twice and have never received a response. Definitely would not buy again.

Ordered 4 of these for my employees. 2 of them the HDMI & DVI have stopped working. No issues with the other two. It's been 5 months, and I can't return the defectives ones now. If you order them, test everything the moment you receive them.
