Rand McNally World Wall Map: M Series

This is a very good quality, substantial map. It is large in size, perfect for a classroom. I am studying for the Social Science CSET and wanted a world and US map to assist with the process in terms of visualization. Both maps are the same size and take up a huge amount of a small wall, they really are a great tool and I think they will be a great addition to my future classroom. They also made me realize that having a map in plain sight on a regular basis is quite useful as I find myself glancing at it throughout the day simply training myself on geography and country names and spellings. Seeing how I have benefited and learned from this map as an adult I think that It would be a great item for a child's playroom/ bedroom as an early learning tool and I already plan to put them in my future children's bedrooms. And finally, I think this would make an excellent map to use for a visual travel bucket list--to mark where you'd like to visit and where you have been. Overall the quality and visualization is great and I love having it around!

The content of the map is excellent. The text is readable and a high volume of information is included for the size. The map arrived folded and, in much the same way as with folded wrapping paper, the creases remain. The map has hung on the wall for a week to let gravity do its job, so the creases that do remain are likely to stay. The description didn't say whether it would be folded or rolled and there was not a picture, so please be aware that the map is folded. *8/8/2015 update - the description has been updated since I wrote this review in 2011 to provide additional data. Nice to know that these reviews make a difference. The creases did remain.

We have this on our dining room table under a thick plastic sheet. It makes for great conversation about geography and history for our small children. The paper is thick, and it is quite colorful. This is a new map with countries that I've never heard of before! Who new that Canada is now its own country? (I'm kidding). This is a great tabletop or wall map. We are very happy with it.

I love geography and like to have a map handy to look up places around the world. This is a nice big map, fits well on my office wall and it is colorful and well laid out. I use pins to point out a few locations I have traveled to and also to highlight areas of interest (for example far flung regions that suddenly because headline news for one reason or another that nobody seems to have heard on) A decent buy for the price!

Great price and what you see is what you get. Yes it is paper, but what do you expect for such a low cost. And although it is folded up upon delivery, it's pretty easy to get the creases out if you really want to. I've had mine hanging on my wall for about a month and the creases are slowly working themselves out and it doesn't bother me much. The size is great and each country is clearly visible from across my room.

I gave the map five stars because it's big and detailed. It's big enough to cover a bulletin board. I use it as a learning tool for my students. I write information from any country we read about or research on a sticky note and place it on the map. Now my students are "globally aware" of their surroundings. I would recommend this map for any classroom teacher.

Good Political Map. The world is changing, sometimes I can remember what they called some countries (Congo), than what their new names are. Also, it never hurts to look at a world to better understand what is going on. Best use of $5.00, I can think of. If you have kids, put this somewhere where they can get at it.

Beautiful, thick, high quality map! The paper is so smooth it has an almost suede-like feel, the colors are a soft pastel, and the lettering is clear and elegant. Be careful unfolding initially, so as not to tear it. Very nice map, and exactly what I wanted! 5 stars!

127cmx81cmのデカいサイズです。 紙質はごくごく普通の紙です。特にコーティング処理などされていない物です。 もっと小さいかと思ったけど・・・デカすぎです！ でも、その分、きちんと都市名も書いてあり見応えがあります。 Mサイズなので小さいと思っている方は要注意です！かなりデカいです！ 本当はデスクの透明マット下に入れておこうと思ったのですが・・・とても入らないのでスキャナで取込んでA4用紙に印刷しました。 モノ自体は凄く良いのでこの評価です！
