Affordable and Stylish Way to Raise Your Lights
Note: this might not fit a normal rimmed aquarium, I'm using it on a rimless tank.I needed a way to raise my light off of the edges of my aquarium because my tank was getting to much light, resulting in algae. Hanging a mount from the walls or ceiling wasn't really an option in my apartment, and heavy duty mounting systems are out of my budget, so I gave this a try, and wow, I'm happy I did.Pros:-Very affordable-Sleek and stylish-Raises light ~10 inches off water-Fits a lot of light sizesCons:-Cheap material (lots of plastic)-Height is not adjustableI'm a little scared to have my nice light dangling from plastic that seems far from indestructible, but I'll update this review if anything goes wrong.

While the engineering of this is awesome, it simply does not work with traditionally-rimmed aquariums. I have five aquariums and this fit none of them. This WOULD be perfect for a rimless aquarium...
