Highly recommend.
Yes! Another children's book but why not? The cover is beautiful! The whole book is gorgeously illustrated throughout. In the beginning it gives an introduction to the main character and the different cats within the story. It also has some facts about cats too.Perfect for cat lovers. A 100 page read. This is book five in the Kitty series but reads fine as a Standalone. A brilliant children's book full of imagination and colour. It's about the festival of light but a thief is soon apparent and its kitty's job to find the thief and return the items to save the night.Within is a message that stealing is not okay. That making people feel happier is better than people feeling bad. That even if you did something wrong you can still fix it and I believe all children need to know that. I am keeping this to pass on to my daughter so she can read it when she's a little older. Highly recommend! Four stars from me.

Ideal chapter book for younger or struggling readers
This is a beautifully covered and illustrated little book, with good quality paper and shiny gold embellishments. The story follows Kitty, who has cat superpowers (like agility and night sight) as she takes part in a lantern parade with the other children, and foils a thief who is ruining everyone's fun. There is a nice moral about how you can have fun and do exciting things without hurting or upsetting other people, and obviously, that stealing is wrong. As a neurodivergent person, I found it a little uncomfortable that, due to the strict orange and black colour scheme, there were moments of sensory dissonance - for example, a lantern is described as purple and silver, but the illustration on the same page shows it as orange and black. This is unlikely to bother most people, and certainly didn't phase my 8yo, but might be uncomfortable for those like me, who have sensory/processing issues. Hence, only 4 stars for what would otherwise be a 5* book.8yo is a bit of a struggling reader, and this book was just IDEAL for her! The print is large and clear, and broken up with pictures, but it is still a chapter book, so she feels like she is reading at the same level as her peers. I couldn't recommend the book more on this basis! Plus, Kitty and her cat friends are "suuuuuper cuuuute!", apparently. We will definitely be buying more of these for 8yo (but I will not be reading them with her, due to the colour discomfort!)

Girl by day, cat by night!
The media could not be loaded. This small paperback book, has a stunning cover with shiny copper segments in it, which makes the cover really pop out .Kitty, the main character, with her cat like special powers and her many cats, must stop a thief, sneaking through the crowds at a lantern festival, stealing anything that’s shiny. Can she stop the thief before the festival ends. The book has 109 pages, and the text is large and well spaced out, with gorgeous black and vibrant orange graphics throughout.
