Great Product Supposedly “Refurbished”
When I first unboxed this Echo Show, I had to go back to my Amazon orders. I know I had ordered. “refurb” unit, but this came out of the box brand new, zero signs of use. I expected at least a scuff mark, but no. I found nothing. Perfect, brand new condition. I love the sound and picture quality on this Show. I would recommend refurbished to anyone thinking they have to spend double and buy new.

An honest review that recognizes the device’s capabilities.
This is not my first echo show 8. I purchased a new one for my mother in 2021. She was very pleased and entertained with the device, as was I. The echo show allows you to watch, listen, and view almost any form of media. When connected to a smart home like mine, it allows for an easy, autonomous controller for the home. Alexa controls my home, it adjusts the temperature, controls lights, and starts my car. It is all connected. Most people are not comfortable with this idea because of security. Amazon has already addressed this and you don't have to worry, there is an adjustable switch to block the camera and two-factor authentication for account log in. I find it secure and have received no alerts of attempted logins from unauthorized devices.My reason for purchasing this Echo show 8 was for personal use. I prefer it over the echo dot; when I became aware of the sale for a refurbished version, I was skeptical at first because of the reviews; However, I found them to be wrong, or at least constrained to their own experience. The reason as to why is because when I received mine, I found it incredibly easy to set up. I logged into my account, provided the code for 2fac-auth and was greeted by Alexa, whom had given me a tutorial of how to navigate and use the device. My smart home was instantly connected and i began to use it as all my other echo devices. Audio quality for the echo show 8 is superior to the echo dot and you are, as always, given equalizer settings. I had to update it, as expected, and was given new device settings like custom photo uploads for the home.Conclusion, i have owned and experienced and echo show 8 before. My purchase of the refurbished version of this device was normal and i did not have a bad experience. Updates are normal, and are necessary to maintain optimal performance. Safe, secure, and efficient. 5 stars.

Love the refurbs!
this refurbished Echo Show looks and behaved just like a brand new one. Good sound. I don't really use the screen much but the picture seems nice and clear.If you've ever worried about buying an Amazon refurbished item, don't. It's the only way I buy my electronics anymore. Why pay full price for something that is going to be relevant for such a relatively short time?

Loving it!
Our echo generation one died and we needed it replaced right away because it was in the play room/gym area of our house. I didn't want to buy a brand new one because kids. The price was great. It's working great. I have never bought a refurbished Alexa before and it works better than my other echo show. My other one doesn't like to listen especially to my husband.

Great for listening while walking through the house
This thing is great for listening to music or audiobooks while doing chores throughout the house. Although, the interface for listening to my Audible library is a bit frustrating. Especially when trying to skip 30 seconds forward or backwards. There is a huge lag and it crashed the app several times while skipping forward and backwards. I’m running the app on my iPhone 8+. Overall I am happy with my purchase. Perfect if you get rid of the lag and crashing.
