one of the best sidearms or primary blasters
Hands down, one of the best sidearms or primary blasters. Used it in my Humans versus Zombies event, survived till the near the very last mission. Holster may be fickle, but you can by a slingbag, and it'l work like a dream. Make sure the slide is primed.Very easy to "slam-fire"! Rapid dart action

Great power
Do not think that because these are Nerf clones that they are not great guns. This gun has fantastic power, shoots well and look good.

Budget blaster that outshines it's market (Nerf) target in performance; averaged 77 FPS stock on a chronograph; behold the Champ
Arguably the closest thing on the market (at the time of this post) to a Nerf-Killer would be this and the other clip fed (closer to a magazine, but Nerf called it clip, so now everyone calls it clips) blaster, the Buzzbee/Air Warriors "flywheeler" the Brute. Looking at the price you would not expect this much performance, especially from the cheap plastic (like the designers just didn't care for the aesthetics and only focused on the performance). I heard on YouTube (shout-out to Bobololo) of the Air Warriors Brute, and that this second-rate competitor of Nerf had also made a worthy spring-powered direct-plunger system blaster that not only shot Nerf's Elite darts (blue, green, decorated Rebelle, white, and now orange darts) but was able to click in Nerf-brand magazines as well. Needless to say, I went out and bought one at my local Walmart. Upon testing on my ProChrono chronograph, I was able to find that the battery-less Air Warriors Champion's velocity had an average of 77 feet per second (FPS; well above a stock Nerf Retaliator, although a modded Retaliator with an Orange Mod Works 7kg spring would top that with ease). Some readings were in the 80 FPS range, I might add. So yes, it is comfirmed that the clip-system magazines are totally interchangeable with all Nerf "clipazines" and related products (my CS Nerf blasters can also fit and fire darts with the yellow Buzz Bee 8-dart magazine). Although it does not have quite the awesome looks of a Nerf Retaliator, it's power and interchangeability with the Nerf clip system and darts more than make up for that; and for the price, the Champion is obviously the better buy. The noise it makes alone is enough to impress (maybe not intimidating like the Brute, but the Champion's spring does sound pretty strong when it is fired). In the looks department, the first thing you will notice on Ultra Tek blasters is that the handle is so darn small, yet not as noticeable as the Brute, Snipe, and especially the Sidewinder, but most of which are by no means uncomfortable; the Champion feels okay when you are holding it, so it is simply just strange to look at. The under-barrel loading feature on the Champion is welcomed on dart blasters because there is no "barrel drag," which is a phenomenon that, in a nutshell, causes shorter ranges the longer the distance travelled in the barrel. In consideration, of course, with how fast the dart is moving. Even the Nerf engineers struggle with designing blasters without barrel drag today. As a result of this, though, you can see an awful lot just by looking down the big front barrel (there is no jam door, so hope to never get a jam). Obviously, there are no barrel or tactical rails to attach anything to, and the back of the blaster seems like it really needs a tactical stock attachment, but Hasbro has patents on that which is a good reason to leave those features out (or face lawsuits). This is actually not the first company to attempt to out-do Nerf using it's own Nerf Elite darts, Prime Time Toy's Dart-Zone, Covert Ops, "Scorpion" is known for putting up 3-digit chronograph readings using Elite Nerf darts (stock; out-of-the-box condition and using standard alkaline batteries). In case you are wondering about the Brute, it fires Nerf Darts in the high 60 FPS range, and some in the 70s, which is a bit less than it's closest market target, the Rapidstrike. The Snipe is 81 FPS, the Sidewinder is 72 FPS (but somewhat ruins the bottom of darts), and the Sentinel has an 82 FPS average shot (but a metal priming handle that hurts). It would seem Buzz Bee Toys finally has engineers that can start a fire under Hasbro; the Ultra Tek line creates a competitive edge big enough to accelerate the rate of progression in the dart blaster world. This is the first real Buzz Bee attempt at out-doing the toy blaster manufacturer giant, may there be many others to follow. If Buzzbee is reading this: Keep doing what you are doing; just focus on making the product easy to use and design it to complement the basic strengths of a blaster. Make it look cooler though, so the cheap plastic is not as noticeable.

This toy is legit
I bought two of these for my nephews. The quality is similar to nerf. I was surprised to see how far they shot and muzzle velocity. Easily 40-50 feet and still have enough power to stick to the wall.
