Fellowes Gel Mouse Pad Wrist Support - Graphite (91741)

I have tried several mouse pads. This mouse pad works very well. I recently reorder this from a few years ago and realized that the you need to eventually replace these. The gel support gets a bit flattened and leaks the filling (sticky). This is an excellent mouse pad, firm and stable pad, provides good wrist support and sits well on pad or desk top.

I bought 2 of these *many* yrs ago and found that the stiff plastic backing made it easy to attach the pad to a laptop desk and have the pad extend over the edge of the desk. When I needed a 3rd pad to go on a regular desk, I just grabbed an ordinary pad with wrist rest in a store display. Big mistake. Making gel in a shape and firmness that work in the real world is not easy. Went online and was pleasantly surprized to find that this fine old design was still available. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Even if U do not need the stiff plastic backing for permanent attachment to a laptop desk, U will find that the raised border on the backing protects the edges of the mouse pad from fraying. The combined wrist rest and mouse pad is comfortable, durable, and professional-looking.

But not "quite" as good as the original one that I bought back in 1995. ;o) This one is sturdy, the same size, smooth mousing surface, very stable, and is a nice dark gray color on the gel pad and the mouse pad---which is removable for cleaning or replacement, btw. (I bought/cut to fit replacement mouse pads for my original one many times over the years) My biggest gripe is that the gel wrist rest is not as squishy as the original one was. :o( Also the gel pad is not as thick as the original one was and is NOT removable for washing. :o( Honestly, if I had never had the original one I might have given this one 5 stars but I did and in comparison this one just isn't as good or as comfortable. Some people have mentioned that they feel the mousing surface size is too small. I find that it gives me plenty of room, but I DO use a high-end laser mouse....it doesn't take much movement to move a cursor anywhere on a 27in. monitor screen. I used a high-end wired mouse years ago and don't remember having any problems with it, either. If the slight "lip" around the mousing surface bothers you, you can always buy another mouse pad for around a dollar and cut it to fit right on top of the included pad, giving you enough height that you're mousing above the "lip" I would recommend his item to anyone who wants a professional, neat looking wrist rest/mouse pad---especially if the hadn't owned the better quality USA made original one. (this new one is made in China. :o( ) UPDATE: I'm upping this review from 3 to 4 stars since the pad is holding up well and, so far, hasn't ruined my wrist as I feared it would since this one is so much firmer than the original, removable pad that was on my first Fellowes Gel Wrist Rest/mouse pad.

The Gel in the rest is not as soft and forgiving as the last one of these that I bought, so it's NOT as comfortable as the older ones were. Other then that it's a nice quality rest and pad.

I love this mouse pad. It is actually my second one, my first wore out lasting several years, I didn't track it exactly but i know it lasted over 5 years. When it wore out, I came to Amazon looking for the exact same thing. My experience is it's well made based on my first one which lasted so long. In addition I spend most of my day working on my computer writing. So I take every step possible to avoid wrist strain, which this does very nicely. It's compact so it doesn't take up a ton of space on my desk, but the gel pad gives that bit of support that my wrist needs to keep me able to work comfortably all day. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a mouse pad that will also ease wrist strain.

I got this mousepad because I specifically wanted a hard-backed one I could glue to the mousepad portion that is attached to my keyboard tray (Fellowes as well), so I could have a more stable, ergonomic, and roomy mousepad. It works great for that and I'm glad I got it. However, I'm a bit picky about colors and for some reason the coloring of the photo online does not match the real life version. The wrist pad is a darker metallic gray, and the mousepad is a plain light gray. The hard back is black. Why not make it all the same color??? Or at least have an accurate photo of it online. It's aesthetically not the most pleasing, but it still was worth it for me.

Je m'attendais à un tapis différent : moins lourd (impressionnant le poids total!), le repose-poignet moins haut : il faut bien être en face et rapproché du bureau pour ne pas avoir le poignet plié avec le bras en suspens et une odeur désagréable se dégage du gel présent dans ce même repose-poignet. Les points positifs sont que l'on peut enlever le tapis principal pour l'utiliser seul (il n'est pas collé) et enfin, la largeur de 15 cm est plutôt bienvenue pour les petites surfaces. Paradoxalement, l'encombrement total du produit reste quand même importante (ou imposante si vous préférez). Bref, je suis déçus car finalement je ne suis pas sûre de l'utiliser au quotidien. Je finirais pas dire que le prix n'est pas justifié. >>> J'édite volontairement mon message car je me suis trompé : la partie repose-poignet se détache elle aussi. En gros, la hauteur est donc moins gênante (2 cm max) puisqu'on gagne facilement 1 cm. Finalement, le poids n'est donc plus de rigueur. Dans un cas comme le mien il vous restera juste à ranger la plaque restante dans un placard.

The gel wrist rest part is awesomely comfortable and supportive. It's also a nice width when you don't have too much room to play with.

Mi mouse se siente con mejor recorrido con este mouse pad, el soporte de muñecas es bastante cómodo. La calidad de los materiales es buena pero nada más.

My go to mouse pad. Had one or two in I think 3-4 years. It lasts longer than other mousepads that I have tried.
