Laverne & Shirley: The Complete Series

I remember watching this series when I was a teenager, I thought it was great then so it's nice to be able to see it again. Of course the show was a spin off of the very popular comedy series 'Happy days', which had the great character the 'Fonz'. Both series ran for a very considerable time, & I must admit I had a teenage crush on Shirley played by the lovely Cindy Williams. It is sad that Penny Marshall who played Laverne is no longer with us, she died last year & will be greatly missed. At least she left us a great comedy show in 'Laverne & Shirley'.

There were two series that cemented my love for American Sitcoms when I was growing up in the 70's Mork & Mindy and Laverne & Shirley and as I'm writing this I've just started Season 4. The show hasn't dated at all and with all 178 episodes in one embossed slip cased collection this is going to take the best part of two full days without sleep to watch. There isn't one episode in the collection that isn't funny and you can tell the cast were friends and even though there were countless reports of arguing on set and cast walk outs the episodes don't show it.Yes, you need a multi-region player to watch it in the UK but it's worth it and is one of the many reasons why you need a multi-region player because I doubt this excellent and timeless sitcom classic will ever make it to the UK

Excellent quality picture and sound. Gorgeous packing and great to have all the discs in these two boxes, really like the presentation format here. Worth waiting for the full box set. Obviously the series is amazing and I am not reviewing that as it speaks for itself, just the box set which is well worth the money for the amount of viewing it provides, and such great entertainment, wish they still made shows like this, but perhaps that is what gives it its charm!! Love this. Also, I am in the UK and imported this from USA Region 1, however I didn't have any problems with playback on my dvd player.

The dvds are in perfect order however the case they arrived in was torn and damaged.

Been after this DVD set for a long time but rarely seen in the UK. Turns out theses were region 1 discs which can’t be played on UK players so have had to order a multi region DVD player. This was not made clear at all on the listing. Also arrived with the case cracked. Poor advertising and poor packaging, beware of this seller
